prowse00XBOX Cup .... not sure if the back 9 saved me or did the front 9 cost me too much and gave me too much of a deficit to catch up ... now i think of it, i should have ghosted my opponent and made life easier for you .. my apologies

Hello! We came home on Thur morning around 11am and We had to wade through 3 feet of water to get to the house. My actual house is up 12 feet from the street so no water issues but my back fence blew down and a few large branches from my huge oak tree smashed my mailbox as i found it in pieces in the road. I thought it would look like a war zone because the northern eye wall was over our city for 4 hrs and 18-20 inches of rain fell in that time period. The center was about 30 miles to the south of my home and done in that area has to look bad.
We currently have no power, no wifi, i’m currently using my phone and roaming with the wifi to post this. The power company said we should have power restored by Tuesday, not sure about wifi as of yet so I may need a sub for this week. My neighborhood doesn’t look as bad I as thought it would because we had 80-100 mph winds that night. I do have a small generator for a few things like a fan, coffee maker, phone charge. I do love the cold showers, l…..I’ll keep the updates. But glad we evacuated.

OFTR
Had one stupid tempo where my drive went 50 yards. Otherwise, it was all my usual bad play.
Question for you guys shooting -12 and better every round, ignoring the fact that at one stage I used to be disappointed with -12 for a round: do you ever get tempo where the ball goes 50 yards sideways? I'm just curious.
Sometimes I miss the tempo pretty bad for no obvious reason, I think it's caused by the HB servers but can't say for sure, maybe not as bad as for the mouse players but it happens on the controller too. Since I switched over from Windows to Linux it happens more rarely, but it still happens.

Finishing up for the week with ROTW.
Bought a bunch of putters, thinking the look of one would help. Then I found that my putt path, as had been since 2023, was only around 70, so I changed that. That didn't help either.

S10, W5, RoW: R2 @ Happy Tour HangersThat turned out to be a nice finish, thank goodness and/or the deity of your choice. A clean card is always nice, and I enjoyed the course as well (obviously). And that was just the push we needed to take the Fireballers into the 'W' zone. Well played all! Go Fireballers! Art VandelayWutpa

Old Fella's Travel Record @ My Available ConventsI got off to a roaring start at this beautiful course, and I was feeling good. -8 at the turn? Yes please! And then I picked up a black eye on the 10th courtesy of a very well hydrated golf ball and a very grim drop. And that rather knocked the wind out of my sails and left me staggering around the paddy fields looking for purpose. I was starting to pick it up again by the end, and the big bird finish certainly helped, but it was another coulda shoulda kind of round. that said, I'm happy to have shot -10 and added 29 points to the Fireballers OFTR war chest. I'm happy and relieved to hear that you are all safe and sound, and that your home got away with only relatively slight damage. What a double-whammy of horrible weather events though! Best wishes to you, your family, friends, neighbours and the whole community as you all recover from this. Regarding your TBC rounds for the week ahead, hopefully you'll get your wi-fi back even sooner than your power, but we'll cover you in the event you do need a sub.
