We came home on Thur morning around 11am and We had to wade through 3 feet of water to get to the house. My actual house is up 12 feet from the street so no water issues but my back fence blew down and a few large branches from my huge oak tree smashed my mailbox as i found it in pieces in the road. I thought it would look like a war zone because the northern eye wall was over our city for 4 hrs and 18-20 inches of rain fell in that time period. The center was about 30 miles to the south of my home and done in that area has to look bad.

Greetings All,

A long standing member of TBC Les lessangster has requested to step back to the subs bench for the last two weeks of Season 10.  Gary Gary RP will take his spot.  After reviewing their scoring thus far in Season 10, Gary will play the Pub Crawl with 4 strokes per game deducted from his score and 1 point added to his OFTR.

Double D, you no longer have a captain since Les is on the subs bench.  Ken jg24kl has experience so he will be your captain for the remainder of Season 10.


johnnybladef   IGolfBad   are tagged since they are captains of teams playing Double D in weeks 6 & 7.

I just want to thank you guys for allowing me to step down in the middle of a season it’s not what I wanted to do but my head is not in the right space to concentrate on my rounds. The wife has had some health issues for the last 7 weeks and I’ve just find it difficult to concentrate on my golf rounds whilst looking after her. I’m like most people in this society where this game is wearing a little thin but I still do enjoy playing my rounds but those rounds are not competitive in the least and I don’t want to drag my team down any further or any team I’m a part of.
I will hopefully still play rounds and post in here if it’s ok for the admins, I don’t want to walk away entirely and I’m prepared to step in as a sub should any Captain be desperate enough to want me just don’t expect great rounds.
This is to me the best run society in game and the best admin team anyone could have, thank you for all you have done for all of us not just myself.
I just want to say, even though I’m not really going away. Good golfing my friends. ❤️

Hello Friends! Jim Nantz back again in season 10 to bring you results from week 5. It’s Hobgoblins title to lose at this point. Can anyone rise up to take them down? Let’s get out to the action starting with The Americas Tour

Match 1: Double D vs Fireballers
Double D and Fireballers come into the match looking to make a run to the top part of the table. It would be the Fireballers coming out firing on the opening day taking both matches on cruise control. The rout was on as they started day 2 with another comfortable victory. Double D would get on the board as they closed the day with a comfortable win. This one heads to Egypt with Fireballers up 6-2.

Match 2: Buzz’n Boozers vs Eye of the Beerholder
A bottom of the table battle between the Boozers and the Beerholders saw two teams looking to improve their potential finishing position. The Boozers would come out strong landing the early blow in the Americas taking both day 1 matches comfortably. This one looked like it was about to get out of hand as they continued their winning ways to open day 2. The Beerholders would finally get on the board to close the day however and this one heads to the Pyramids 6-2 Boozers.

Match 3: Bear Necessities vs Hobgoblins
A top of the table battle saw Bear Necessities taking on the league leading Hobgoblins needing a win to keep any chance at a title alive. They would start off strong with a win to open the match. However, Hobgoblins showed their mettle and bounced back to level the match. Necessities kept the pressure on the leaders on day 2 and put them in a situation they haven’t faced often this season as they were able to take both matches to head to Egypt up 6-2.

Match 4: Rum Raiders vs Gin’ll Fix It
The Raiders and Gin’ll Fix It enter their matchup in a battle for 3rd and perhaps 2nd depending how things play out. The Raiders came out firing looking to prove they were the team to challenge the top by taking both day 1 matches in dominant fashion. Their dominant run continued into the second day as they took the opener. Gin’ll Fix It would get on the board to close the day and the fourth consecutive match would head overseas with a team up 6-2.

JN: What an exciting start to the week. Let’s move overseas to the Rest of the World Tour

Match 1: Double D vs Fireballers
The momentum gained in closing out the Americas was short lived for Double D as the Fireballers opened day 3 with a dominant victory that saw the match end 5 holes early. The second match of the day would almost go the distance and saw Double D force the matchup to the fourth day undecided. Jason would get the day started right for Double D but they still had a big hill to climb. Nigel would put Fireballers on the precipice of the win after match 2. It would be Randy, in a draw with Ken who would secure the win for them. Trevor added a win in the finale and this one would end 13-7 Fireballers

Match 2: Buzz’n Boozers vs Eye of the Beerholder
Much like the opening matchup, the Boozers quickly took back the momentum and took advantage of the Beerholders Eyes being on the scenery. However the second pairing faced no such distraction and kept their focus in a close win to send this to the final day. Sean would put the Boozers on the verge of victory to open day 4. However, the Beerholders would rally in three consecutive nail biting matches with Randy, Thomas, and Mark closing the gap to end day 4 and this match ends 10-10.

Match 3: Bear Necessities vs Hobgoblins
Would Necessities be able to put them away? As we saw earlier this season, Hobgoblins are a tough out and they would come out swinging overseas with a narrow win to open day 3. Necessities would bounce back to close the day and keep their hopes of victory at the forefront. The teams went to the fourth day with the result still in the balance and Charles was able to start the day right for Hobgoblins with a win to pull them back to within 2. Paul would put Necessities on the edge of victory with a narrow win over Stevie. Tony would get the win in match 3 to extend it to the fourth match. The match between Carol and Mark would come down to the wire but Carol would not allow Hobgoblins another come back draw by securing a draw of her own with a crucial putt on the final hole and gave Necessities a win by the narrowest of margins, 11-9.

Match 4: Rum Raiders vs Gin’ll Fix It
Day 3 opened with an even battle that kept Gin’ll Fix It’s hopes alive. However, the Raiders reasserted their full dominance to close the day. It would come down to the final day with Gin’ll Fix It needing nothing short of a miracle. Unfortunately for them, that miracle never came as Ben took the opener to secure the win for the Raiders. They continued to raid, pillage, and plunder for the remainder of the day with Marcus and Art taking full points and Bova taking a point in the finale. This one was all Raiders, 16-4.

For our final challenge we are playing Peccinari Hills by designer Richard Hall.

Peccinari Hills is the brand new home of golf in Ontario. A par 72 course, measuring 7313 yards from the Championship tees, this is a great location to experience golf up close. Designed with the spectator in mind, the designer has married the administrative HQ of Canadian golf with an innovative spectator hub with numerous viewing platforms and vantage points. Many greens are visible from the main hub, but there are also a number of walking routes to cater for many fans to wander the course.

This is a parkland course, with many mature trees on property, and surrounded by Spruce forests. Greens are running fast at this time of the year as the tour event is close. So, whilst you may find the fairways, your approach is key as most greens are anything but flat!

Always have fun on this course, especially when trying to hit delicate little chip shots past-, into-, over-, along- or down the sloped greens - just wish I'd have a wee bit more luck a wee bit more often here.
