Hi, so have registered on the site and want to get involved in qualifying, it looks like there is qualifying event scheduled to start today, is this correct? Can I play in this? Can someone please tell me where to enter and find the correct comp on societies section? Any guidance greatly appreciated. FYI, I’ve made sure beer league option unchecked in profile.

Hi Shuggie, I am new to TGC Tours this year as well and I've had similar questions. 1. You need to make sure your profile is correctly pointing to your Xbox, PS4, Steam id etc. 2. Then you need to login with your TGC tours account and hit the qualifying page and make sure you are registered - www.tgctours.com/Tournament/QSchoolRegistration/3. From there you just join the society TGCTours (Challenge Circuit) and play all 4 rounds every week. 4. Your scores will be pulled in automatically and if you shoot low enough that week you will get promoted to one of the challenge circuit tours. I don't know exactly what algorithim they use but it took me a few events to get low enough to get in. Reply here or ping me directly if you have any other questions

Yup, you should be good then. Just remember that for qualifying there is no cut so you need to finish all four rounds to be considered. The scores are posted on a set interval so even though you have played more than 1 round the standings will only be reflected to that point. To find the qualifier results go to the main page and scroll down until you see events. You will find this. Qualifier 10/26 - 10/31 Autism Speaks Charity Championship Course: Cardinal Pines Golf Club Society: TGCTours (Challenge Circuit) Leaderboard The leaderboard link will take you here: www.tgctours.com/tournament/leaderboard/5782As more round by round scores are revealed they will also post a "projected tour card line" as well.

If you are in the qualifying event you can play them anytime you want as long as you are done by the end of week deadline. Since there is no cut in the qualifying events the 1st/2nd deadline doesn't mean anything. From www.tgctours.com/Home/RulesPolicies ... Round Deadlines 1st and 2nd round scores must be completed prior to 4am UTC on Thursday of the tournament week. 3rd and 4th rounds completed prior to the tournament's closing at 12am UTC on Sunday.

Hey Stubby, me again, another question - now that the projected tour card line is visible following round 3 I can see that only 3 names sit above it. Does this mean there would be only 3 cards potentially awarded to these players to enter the challenge tour circuit or would these 3 potentially go to elite, kinetic etc? Not that I’m hopeful of qualifying this week as had a bit of a nightmare and still trying to used to master swing but if I need to shoot 20-30 under par then I’ve got a lot of improving to do if only to make it into the challenge circuit!! Already started playing practice rounds on next weeks qualifying course, this is addictive! Again, any info greatly appreciated.

What is currently showing is possibly the cut-off point to qualify for the Pro Tours (Platinum, Elite, Kinetic), which should be based off the 20th best score on CC-A. The number of Challenge Circuit cards available is determined by how many people actually play each week in relation to an ideal field size of 155 (i.e. 1860 for the whole circuit). You can find the full explanation in this thread.

I will defer to Luxic here as he has more experience than me. From my perspective though I wouldn't worry too much about the "make/miss" line right now and focus on constant improvement of your game and once it gets good enough, you'll get moved to the appropriate place. It took me 8 rounds in the main qualifying event plus 3 weekly events to get my game to a point where I was even close. Keep practicing on your game, play everything at Master level every time you play the game and it will get there. I used to switch back to the basic settings when I was designing but now I just stay on Master level all the time. The biggest change I found in my game was regarding putting. I really focused on learn to putt the right distance and speed and its made a huge difference for me.

Yup, it just takes time I think to get used to tempo and putting control. I think it took me a good 3 - 4 weeks before I finally felt like I had a handle on it. For my first few rounds I think I could barely break 100.

When I did a count last night I had it at 34 CC cards. There will be non finishers at the end of the week that will bump the number up as well. Fancying a rough guess I say about 50 CC cards will be handed out at the end of week 6.

Good luck this week, i'm not sure if 203 is accurate or not but it sounds like a lot. I will be honest though in that I really don't know the algorithm they use.
