When I'm designing a course and add some furniture like benches and bins, I'll catch myself trying to not place bins too close to benches. I think if someone is sitting on the bench that they might get a whiff of the trash in the bin. Then I snap out of it and realise that nobody sits on the benches and even if they did they're a pixelated pastel wearing zombie who doesn't possess a sense of smell. If one of them could smell it I hope it's the "Get in the hole" guy, I'd love to get him back for his constant shouting during my rounds.
Yeah I'm a weirdo 😅

That's pretty funny, but I get what you're saying. I'm trying to be as real as possible, too. For what it's worth, at the golf courses I play the trash cans are fairly close to the benches, but they are full of empty beer cans.

Nah, you're fine. I spend the same amount of time with that stuff, and players usually can't even see it from the tee shot. Who puts benches in front of the tees ? (If theres a big enough space, forward tees might get a bench, tho) I miss the TGC19 flyby, tbh.

I would say if that is something you enjoy about designing, being able to have that kind of control over the environment down to the most minute details, why take that away from yourself? Sure, other people playing your course might not notice those little details, but you will. Also, I think if you give that kind of attention to every part of your course, collectively, it will really enhance the feel and all those little details will make a big difference.

I did add a couple of things to previous courses but these were really for promotional purposes. This one is at Trinity Club where I added dividers and distance markers to the dining area of the clubhouse to replicate what we see in public places during the pandemic. On my Wunderpar (Glasgow) mini golf course I added a wheelchair access ramp to the steps at the front of the fountain. This was the work site on Bayerischer Golfplatz which eventually became the Wunderpar (Munich) mini golf course
