There HAS to be a way to cheat. I was born at night but not last night. I go from shooting -14 on average on TGC 2019 using master clubs to not even being able to break par on 2k 21??? And I see guys shooting -18 on master? Nope. Something is up.

I'm similar, wasn't an issue to shoot below par in 19, but now I'm happy to shoot single digits above par. Some people just have more time to practice or just put more time into this game in general. I'm improving, shot 2 rounds in the 70's this past qualifying week which I was happy with. Literally it's like anything, practice helps.

It's the fasts, people have those figured out. Also haptic feedback on putting.

The phantom update from a week and a half ago also made the tempo white and grey areas slightly larger and the putting stroke is slower now on short and mid-range putts.

The whole swing thing is a crap shot. Some people’s controllers might work better with the game then yours. Doesn’t mean they are better. It’s bs. Trust me I was using a wired controller for the ps4 and the thumb stick was much stiffer. I won the first week on Tgc CCH. Since then I spilt coffee on that controller lol and have been using the original ps4 dual shock and haven’t made a cut since no bs. I’d go buy another one of those controllers but ps5 will be out soon. I play FIFA and madden and a lot of nhl21 doesn’t matter which controller I used still perform the same. To have put sooooo much precision betweeen somebody’s thumb and the thumb stick for this golf game is bloody rediculouse. You probably heard it a million times but I’ll say it again if I hit a bad shot I should know I hit a bad shot but not this game. Go on YouTube and watch early 1981 and North 47 and I believe gamer ability as well. Watch how 90 % of their shots the blue line is so straight like someone took a blue marker and drew a line with a ruler. Not knocking their play they are excellent players but it’s much easier when you can do that. People say hold your controller this way and that way put it flat etc...... yes this can work for a bit but what if your thumb is having muscle spasms that your brain isn’t telling you about seriously that’s how precise they want you to be it’s bunk. Take practice swings that helps yes maybe but most people don’t want to take bloody hour to play a round of golf are they trying to sim the time it takes to play a round of golf tooo. That being said I wish down the road they dial this whole tempo thing back or maybe Tgc tours will knock the swing difficulty to pro cause this just ain’t workin for most people. Honestly I never heard so many people b%& about a golf game before. Never heard this many people complaining when it was so called tooo easy. Anyway this probably should have been in the rant section lol

It's the fasts, people have those figured out. Also haptic feedback on putting. the what now? Fasts - intentionally aiming extreme right (RH Swing) and intentionally hitting the Fast in order to essentially shank it left into the fairway.. Not my cup of tea as I play for perfects - but the above is why there are players essentially shooting no different than 2019 - sort of a joke on the top tours if you ask me. But, it is what it is..

Which is why designers will start planting trees near the tees to remove this tactic. Can't do anything about courses already out there, but expect there to be an increase of tour courses that include trees and obstacles immediately to the right off the tee. Not a particularly beautiful design mark, but sort of like the Eisenhower tree...it's there to combat strategy abuse. That doesn’t work to stop them. When you intentionally fast it is a very precise shot and if the left roll out (which really isn’t that much) is a problem you can shot shape it away easily.

Well if this is what designers do then they should think about putting them on both sides of the tee to prevent the lefties from doing the same thing. This could get real interesting having courses designed with tunnels off the tees LOL! Here is my beautiful desert course with GIANT Cactus off both sides of the tee! Forget that is is wide open everywhere else on the course! LOL! Strategy Abuse??? what is that??>

And I see guys shooting -18 on master? Nope. Something is up. I’m fairly new to the game but the players are just experts and have it all dialed in with approach shots and putting. One thing I’ll say about master difficulty is don’t play a Pro Am tournament with the Pro settings then go back to Master settings.... My swing tempo was completely different and I could not figure out why shots were being pulled on almost every shot with drive and approach when I went back to Master settings to practice at Bandemere GC.... I played 2 practice rounds and then started to think about what I was doing with the Pro settings. It was all tempo thst got messed up....I’ll still play the pro setting tournaments but need to remember about my tempo change going back to Masters....I was starting to doubt myself as I had increased 10-15 shots with terrible drives and approaches. But found the tempo again and feel better....

It's the fasts, people have those figured out. Also haptic feedback on putting. The FASTS? What is that? Discussion about FASTS at the beginning of video, followed by the 1st 4 holes played for PERFECTS, and then from this point on, all RED FASTS:
Keep in mind there are also tricks involved with wired/wireless/and calibration, along with different headsets and controller combinations which will COMICALLY provide easy perfects, even on Master Settings, with purple rated clubs, and a small white tempo bar. This version of the game is truly much easier than it's predecessor.

Just the white and grey bands become much smaller so this is ball striking thing where the ball can be pushed or pulled off the club face.
