I did a quick test on the 295D and nothings changed. The smallest RF still carries 255, while the smallest RS carries 262. I think the perfect window has increased ever so slightly. With my calibration I was previously unable to hit perfects with the 295. I can hit them now. I wanna make 10 accounts to give you 10 more likes! Imo this will be very strong for PC players!! More on that in a sec. Xbox, the increase in perfect is extremely marginal so I'm not sure how it will affect you guys! 
PS4 wired:
Drivers: 1st input point 2nd input point
- 295: Perfect @100% and barely Red 101s. Greys @100% and below only.
- 291: Perfect @100% and medium+? Red 101s. Greys @100% and barely Red 101s.
Woods: 1st input point 2nd input point
- 245: Perfect @ All 101% and below. Greys @100% and barely Red 101s. - 243: Perfect @ All 101% and below. Greys @100% and barely Red 101s. - 241: Perfect @ All 101% and below. Greys @ All 101% and below.
The 291 has a ? mark next to medium because it's hard to gauge precisely. I just know that I struck many, Many more perfects with 101s than with the 295. If we create a scale of 101.001 to 101.999, my best guess is that, with the 291, 101.001 - 101.7?? are perfects. The closer you get to 102% the less likely your 101% will be perfect. The 241 looks strong, as you'll have to reach the 3rd input point to lose +30y now.
Now then, why strong for PC players (all!), and fwiw, especially for low dpi users? On PS4 the transition at the top of your backswing comes quicker, much quicker!, than on PC. This means PS4 people will firmly and clearly be landing in the 101 zone with most shots. PC!! You guys can get 98-100% very, Very easily imo. In order to get 101% in PC you literally have to pause at the top.

Aaaaaand this change continues to mean essentially nothing for XB, unless it's possible that we now have a grey fast + a grey slow with some calibration. Will check later.

And yet there are still PS4 players struggling at the bottom of every leaderboard.
I'm starting to think this conversation isn't particularly helpful. You've now got a bunch of XB players believing that every PS4 player hits perfects on queue, and their worst miss is a grey. This simply isn't true. No one is denying that for whatever reason the game plays harder on Xbox than the other platforms. Doesn't mean you can't still compete on the tours, except maybe Platinum.
I've said it all along, people spend far too much time worrying what game everyone else is playing and forget to enjoy their own. If you don't enjoy these settings then stop playing, and that's completely fair and understandable. Either that or embrace the challenge and give it a go! The way we were playing this game doesn't work anymore, but there are other ways. You just have to want to find them. May I recommend the partial pitch....

He is probably the only person on here who is trying to technically analyze what is going on with tempo between the different consoles and has provided the best explanation as to how polling rates work. His point in the post that involved PS and PC figures is that ONCE AGAIN THE UPDATE FACTUALLY DOES NOT HELP US, AND ACTUALLY WIDENS THE GAP BETWEEN US! I feel like a lot of XB guys take cseanny 's post the wrong way... he doesnt think YOU suck, he thinks XB sucks. So do we, dont we? lol Finally we have someone who is trying to offer hard evidence of what is wrong with the game on XB rather than make anecdotal claims about why its broken. Lets not try and piss him off to the point he has no interest in helping us! Thank you, cseanny . |

That we all call it, including you. So I'm really not too sure what the problem was. So again, proving my point that some XB folk are taking his posts WAY out of context and that he is somehow suggesting we suck because we play on XB. He is helping us by proving the polling point issue, and by trying to find a solution for XB that might make it more enjoyable. When I was playing with some guys the other night a few weeks ago they kept going on about how someone in the forum said that people on XB had no talent, when that is the complete opposite of what was said. The quote was roughly "If you're on PC or PS, you can compete. If you have talent you will be able to do well. Unfortunately that is not the case for XB." and they kept going on about how they said we on XB dont have "talent". This game sucks on XB. Everyone knows it. We all on XB know it. Hopefully HB know it by now. No use in alienating the few that care to try and find a solution. Sorry for the rant just sick of this negative energy. |

As for the rest, I've read more stories of people having greater success on PC with DS4 controllers. I believe (?) even Re-Spawn and CrazyCanuck said similar things? Moving forward lets hope HB changes code or engines. The current state of affairs is seriously flawed imo. This is easily the worst iteration of the game in my eyes, and this is coming from someone who can go low in any game setting.
You can pretty much guarantee there will be no game engine change at this point in time, HB are too heavily invested in their hybrid version of UNITY to change engines. |
