For me at least (PS4 Player), this has become a serious problem. I first noticed it during the Joburg Open, but the course was still very much playable. It made Bison Run unplayable for me, it took forever to load and then every other shot was 92-93%, and i'm having the same problem with the new versions of the Shakespeare. At time it gets so jerky it feels like i have no control, and on some holes i find it literally impossible to hit a single shot at 100%. I can hit it 100% 99 times out of 100 on every other kind of course, so pretty sure it's not me So 1/ Does this affect anyone else? 2/ What can i do to stop it? (Depth of field is already off and my connection is good) Really frustrating me as i love the course and the new setup but if it's going to be like this i may as well not bother

You should report this in the HB forums. They keep asking for courses etc where this occurs, because they can't fix it if they can't reproduce it in-house.

This was my complaint with last weeks tourney. Designers should keep planting to a minimum to improve fps. If that doesn't help then we should not use this theme until the issue is fixed. Unfortunate because the countryside theme is a familiar look to many of us who play in real life.

I do remember them [HB] saying that the trees on the countryside course, especially the willows, were to be used sparingly as they were a lot more high polygon than the usual trees.

Said this day one of countryside release, plays horrid more than half the time I haven't touched it in the course designer at all.

Appreciate that those who have never experienced it would be cynical (that’s exactly how I feel about “ball squirt” ;-)) but it’s a definite issue and something I only ever experience on countryside courses.
Hopefully the March update will hit soon and improve things. Played 6 holes this morning and only had 1 so maybe avoiding playing my rounds at peak times will help connection wise?
If the PGA event was being played on a different theme this week I would be crossing over, perhaps using different themes each week on the two top tours is something that should be considered if the issues persist

Are you holding your backswing for at least 1 entire second before your downswing?

Are you holding your backswing for at least 1 entire second before your downswing? It's frame rates mate, I know this as I have suffered it too many times but only on countryside.

I concur. .. country side can get FPS hungry quick if there's lots of willow trees being drawn on screen at a given instance of time. I have a fast gaming PC, and I have had issues with my Calaveras County Country Club. I had to remove several willows cause I had too many close together, and witness a FPS spike drop. (I run FRAPS to monitor frame rate during my design phase). This is one reason I haven't finished my 18 hole version of my countryside theme. And why mainly design boreal themed courses. better luck with FPS stability.

It's strange how some never experience the 94-96% swing power, while others see it constantly. No one I played and chatted with didn't experience it. Some more than others, but everyone had them on the ps4. It seems to be getting more frequent, especially the last month. HB is not able to duplicate it on their systems, so they can't fix what they don't see I guess. It is real, we all know how to swing by now. I agree with framerates being the issue. Not sure what else causes it or why everyone doesn't have it. It's a mystery to me.
