When I signed up for the TGC, The email that I received stated that there was a BCT available but I cant seem to find it. I am enjoying playing this game but not up to playing at the level required to get into any of the elite tours. Just looking for some place to have some competition at my level. BTW I am an old fart and my hand to eye is not near what these young whippersnappers have. If there are any other sites that would suit my game please feel free to tell me. Thanks

I asked the same question when I joined a couple of weeks ago. I found out that there was no BCT for this season. The only options are the main tours or the beer league. I am in the same situation as you as I am not up to the level as many of these players (my Beer League stats show that), but I figured it was a way to learn the sim. I really wish they had some type of developmental or casual league. However, based on playing old TW games, the scoring would be very skewed and could pull the fun out of playing. At least that is my assumption.

We didn't update that email initially unfortunately. The BCT from 2019 is now the Beer League (pro swing) this season.

They need to add a "causal" league for us non pro to play and enjoy The Pro swing isn't too hard to become reasonably OK at. I must have played 60 rounds at least by now, and although I still only manage about 72% FIR, it's improving.
The lack of a power meter is really hard to adjust to at the beginning, but once you really become familiar with the shot-shaping options, and get better with the timing (tempo), that starts to improve too.
I do agree it's a bit of a departure on the part of TGCT toward setting the competitive bar higher, but give it some time, hit the practice area A LOT for about two weeks (especially putting), and you'll see your scores come down.
FWIW, I'm a shade under 60, so not speaking as a 20-something freak of fast-firing neurons and lightning reflexes along with superior muscle memory.
