Well I sit at -6 through two rounds at Evangelist which I am very pleased with. I was -2 at Whiskey Dunes so it puts me -8 overall and somewhere in the upper/mid CC flights.
64-70 and have yet to find the water, so that's a positive! I broke par once in all my practice rounds so if I can come in at 70-70 or better I'll be really pleased. And I'll also be really pleased to NEVER step foot on this course again.

After posting +8 (+2, +10, +2, -6) for the first tournament of qualifying I managed -7 (-3, -4, +2, -2) for the second tournament to end up with +1 overall.
Absolutely mortified with the +10 in the second round @ whiskey dunes but at least I redeemed myself a little with what I did Evangelist. Could have been better as got stuck in the valley on the par 3 in round 3 which cost me a quadruple (would have chipped usually but was inside 75 feet so putted so i didn’t get dq’d).
Did managed to bag my first hole in one in 2K at the 13th in round round @ Evangelist. 💪
CC-C or CC-D for me I guess but to be fair that’s where I was in TGC 2019.

Okay. This is weird. I’ve been practicing and everything, but I never expected to shoot a bogey free -9 in the first round after finishing Whiskey Dunes at +5. I’m happy and scared to continue playing, but don’t want to lose this momentum and also don’t want to land in a flight too good for me. 😂
I’m going to keep going. Cheers.
Edit: Went from 1227 to 845...

With the new controller, new putting stroke, some gin, and inconsistent tempo, I shot 67-69 in the first two rounds. Playing well at Evangelist really makes me upset about my play at the Dunes (+4). On the other hand, I'm happy at my progress after all the work I've been putting into my game the last few days. Now I go into rounds 7 & 8 at even par for the entire Q-school. Interesting.

Well, my rounds at Evangelist are done, and I am happy to say that I completed a few of my goals: 1) I did not hit it OB on any of the rounds on hole 14 2) I did not score worse than bogey on any of the 72 holes 3) I did not hit it in the water on 8, 12, or left of 16 green in any round.
However, I'm pretty bummed to say that I missed a few of my goals this week as well: 1) I went to the 70th hole of the week before hitting one in the water, and it was actually on the second shot of hole 16 when I was only trying to lay up, but I got a slow tempo and into the pond it went. 2) I wanted to go all 8 rounds at Even par or better, and I only ruined that in the 8th round by having a bogey, bogey, bogey finish to shoot +2. 3) I was shooting for the Elite tour and hoping for Kinetic, but it appears that I may be sitting just outside of that in the first few cards of CC-A by the time it's all over.
My rounds at Evangelist: 65-70-65-72 = -8
Either way, I happen to think the two courses chosen for the Q-Event were a perfect match in terms of showcasing the different parts of the game that players need to be good at, and I think it did its job of separating the skill levels very well through 8 rounds. Looking forward to week 1 on whichever tour I get a card for!

Well I definitely improved so far over last week. I came out of Whiskey Dunes at +21 wondering if id ever find my putter tempo.
I spent about 3 solid hours on the putting green and think i finally have found a swing that i can be consistent with!
I shot my first subpar round ever at Evangelist round 1 with a -5. Was sailing along at -3 on round 2 and then proceeded to throw 2 in the drink on the final par 5 ...both hit the green and rolled slowly down the hill and off the fishing pier...aaaargh! Almost identical shots...bummer.
Anyway I am encouraged that I can putt with a little confidence now! Hope I dont completely blow up rds 3 and 4.

One thing I would like to note is that this qualifying event, more than previous ones or promo events, seems to have brought all members of TGCTours together like I have never seen. Interactions between great and the not so...vets of all iterations of TGC and newbies.
When this is over and we go to our assigned tours I feel this same comraderies will be lost a little. Some new bonds might form, but I for one have enjoyed the banter among all folks here in this thread.
Onward!

-23 Whiskey -14 Evangelist
=-37 overall
I'm OK with that, was tough going, aim was to shoot under par each round in the second week, and pleased to say I did that. Managed to avoid "THE" OB all 4 rounds and had no bridge trouble! All in all pleased with overall result, was hoping to get in one of top 3 tours, and should hopefully do that! Good luck all 👍

I propose a name change for the CC Tour seeing as all the other tours got one, in keeping with the same initial it can be renamed as: Clique TourAnyone on the Pro Tours can't be part of the Clique. At least it will forever end the discussion if there's a clique or not.

And just like that... I go even in round 2 to stay at -9. I go +3 in round 3 to go to -6. Then a whopping +14 in round 4.
Wtf?? Two 8s and a 7!! Stupid greens killed me. I pitch it and it rolls slightly past the hole.. it alllllllmost comes to a stop.. then just keeps rolling and off the green then down into the water. I did that twice. 🤬
What a rollercoaster.

I will say one thing...when you actually turn a corner in this game and things start to unfold the way you plan them(for the most part) it is a real eye opener.
to anyone still struggling....keep grinding and plugging...IT WILL COME
too bad it actually came about a week late for me...the difference between even yesterday and today is staggering

First ever sub-60 round for me in this game and it comes in qualifying, probably means I’ll sneak into the platinum tour unless I blow up in rounds 2-4. -27 after 4 put me in 127th, now -38 after 5. Well I did choke in rounds 3 and 4 but still might sneak into platinum we will see. -27 Whiskey -11 Evangelist rd 1 -7 Evangelist rd 2 -4 Evangelist rd 3 E Evangelist rd 4 -49 total

487 after first round of qualifying but I bought a new controller and I can no longer play this game doesn't seem right I have no idea where the ball is going consistently now You decided to change controllers in the middle of Q-School??
I actually do feel your pain. I bought a new controller for the last game and it's taken me until now to be able to putt straight with it!
I think that is part of my Q-school issues. I had to switch to a new controller 3 days before Q-school because my old one was starting to drift vertically on the left stick (my swing stick) and take shots for me.
