Any reason why my Week 2 scores are not coming through. The 'my score' section on the main leaderboard isn't showing the 2nd leg scores yet - I already put a ticket in for that - but if you look at your position (which is correct) and go to that area, you should see your 5th round score. If you don't see the 5th round score and have played it (and played the previous 4) - then you should put in a ticket to support@tgctours.com

I just noticed my Week 2 round 1 score isn't posted either... I've played the first 3 rounds The Evangelist scores aren't showing for anyone in the My Scores row above the actual leaderboard. Scroll down (or use Ctrl-F to search) to find your name. Is it there? FWIW I played round 5 (first round on Evang) yesterday, saw that score posted in the "my scores" bit. Played the last 3 rounds of this week's event earlier, and not only don't see those, but my first round on Evang has disappeared, too - but I do see my name on the overall leaderboard, just not in the my scores part.

I really loved the look of the boardwalk around the edge. Aesthetically it looked awesome. Just sucked when you got caught in there. Also have had spots where the ball gets caught on the edge of the water and keeps dropping in the exact same spot when you declare an unplayable. Would be cool though if all designers were on the same page as to how to properly put drop zones in their courses Maybe I'm just stupid, but if there's an in game brush for OB then why can't HB create one for drop zones similar to what you'd see in real life if you'd end up in a grandstand? No, you are not stupid at all, I've said this for 3 versions of this game now. It's not hard at all from a coding standpoint I don't think. The game could allow the designer to put down a drop zone within the boundaries of that hole, and then when a player hits it in the water, he would be given the typical two options the game gives for a yellow penalty area (because that is what it's actually doing for all of you that think it's just "wrong", it's actually not, it's just that a yellow penalty area is dumb when applied universally to all water), AND it would give you a third option to select with the bumper, which would be the drop zone marked area that the designer put in. So @chrashbird , NOT a dumb idea at all, but apparently too logical for you know... Haytch Beeee!

Well that was both disgusting and disappointing! Round one @ Evang and my golfing comet has dropped to earth. Two bogies, two doubles and only four birdies make for an ugly +2 - my first over par round for the Qualifier. I played the course reasonably well in practice but we all know that is not a predictor when the sphincter tightens. Got Vfasts just when they were killers so three in the water. I was "lucky" I did not have that "boardwalk" shot that others discussed above, my ball rolled fast enough to make it into the water lol. Oh well I was playing above my normal ability anyway. I really have to practice my pitch shots, I just cannot seem to get a handle on the Tempo vs. carry distance on them, they seem to vary more than normal shot type. This is all I remember about St. Bedes
Larry is actually back playing again - although he has clearly taken himself fully off this site, as he has played all the exhibitions, and also played both weeks of this Q-school - but hasn't appeared on any TGCT keaderboards. Although he probably should have done - as he'd be borderline Platimum / Elite from his scores......
I just flat out don’t hit pitch shots. Awful how they designed them. If I hit it 80% it should go 80%. Not 30% like it does now. That being said, i have just taken that shot out of the bag. Either hit full/flop/chip or splash(best shot in game).

Just wanted to put this out there for people struggling with their tempo. Through much testing I found out an issue that effects some users playing with V-Sync ON. (NOTE This is automatically enabled and found under settings->Graphics) Basically if you own a GPU AND Monitor that uses NVidias G-Sync or AMDs Freesync, this should be turned off. Please note BOTH your GPU and monitor has to be using this. Now that being said, when you have only the GPU or Monitor, V-sync normally should stay on, but many of us are finding that while it locks the Frames Per Second to 60 or 30 FPS (normally this is a good thing), our tempo becomes much harder to hit perfects and many of our shots look "grouped", landing on the same point in the fast and slow areas. Turning OFF V-sync at this point causes the frame rates to bounce around a lot, but then the tempo becomes much easier to hit perfects more frequently, especially in shots like chips/pitches. So if you want to see more of an explanation with a video of what I'm talking about, go to the link below and read my post. In the mean time if you want to test it out, just go into settings->Graphics and turn off v-sync and go to the driving range and practice a bit to see if it helps you. If it does, leave it off. If it makes things worse, go back an re-enable it. It seems this issue varies from player to player and from computer to console. Some people are finding it helpful to turn V-sync off, others are not. Either way, just a thought you all can try who are struggling. Here is the link to the thread and video. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/24160/fellow-mouse-players-any-issues?page=16&scrollTo=585321

Thanks for all the feedback about Evangelist, I think a lot of it is well-intentioned and quite valid. I also want to go on record as saying that I am very sorry for the HB in-game issues that can present themselves on this course, such as the bad drops and the OB "creep" that have screwed some players badly. As a designer, we never want that to be the case. Our goal was to design a challenging course, but definitely not one that makes people feel abused.
I'm hoping to stream my qualifying rounds from Evangelist at 4pm ET today if anybody wants to come watch one of the co-designers get slashed on this course. LOL

Well thank god that is over and I will never have to set foot on the course ever again. I played terribly and take responsibility for that but that is got to be the least enjoyable course I have ever played 4 rounds at. Water in play on what feels like every shot and any red fast or slow will pretty much put you out of the hole. Play conservatively to avoid the drink and end up short sided. Regardless of how pissy I am about all of that I know I could have done better and am ultimately to blame. -24 at Whiskey pissed away with a +5 (76 70 69 70) at Evangelist. -19 for Q-School total. What a shame. Totally gutted. Hoping its good enough to get me CC-A but will take whatever I'm given at this point. Good luck to all with the rest of the event and new season. Unlucky mate, sure you'll progress!

If my memory is good I don’t recall OB being an option in the designer when the game originally came out and was patched in later on along with drops. Would have thought drop zones would go hand in hand, guess not though.

Absolutely gutted guys and after all that talk about if I’ll make it or not I just shot a +14 in my second round on Evangelist 😬 Really thought after my +2 I had turned a corner to see it all go horribly wrong jeez! 8 bogies, two double bogies and an awful triple on the 16th and started to lose my rag a bit and then birdied the par 3 17th )) Oh man so wounded and need to play this more relaxed with less expectation. Sorry for rant and breath breath as too early in the week for a G&T 😄

I shot -16 total at Whiskey.
I'm 5 holes thru my 3rd round at Evangelist and I'm +19 total so far.
The tempo has officially gone bananas for me here on XB and sadly is going to completely ruin my final total.
Not a happy camper at all.
