Congrats Tom Humphries t2theb2 for a tremendously consistent first week, currently being the only player (yes, I checked) to post the same score in all four rounds!

If the new PS5 is the better of the two consoles the dark side beckons for me. I might still use the Xbox for the Champions United society, probably while wearing my best hair shirt.

I have spent quite a lot of time this week watching Twitch/You Tube videos of peeps doing Q School and a couple of thing have interested me. 1. Most people are playing the deliberate fast. Not overly surprising as it is an easier and more 'accurate' shot - but will do little for muscle memory for trying for the elusive perfects. 2. The speed they play at. Majority of players absolutely whizz round. Seen so many basic errors by people who are clearly good players - caught out by wind or elevation or green contouring. As long as they continue to speed golf then how will they improve? What am I saying - keep playing fast..... 3. How quite a few have recently joined TGCT but haven't spent 5 minutes reading the rules/guidance. 4. Not Twitch or YT related but an observation - Last I looked the PS4 Barstool society had 52K members. And we think TGCT is a big community........it is but...... 3. ....and lastly how much more active this game seems to be. Whether this is CoVid related or actually a better representation of the game - who knows......but I like it! Looking forward to next week. Currently at -38 and comfortably within Platinum range. Would like to stay there but have some negativity with the next course ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Play well y'all. DP. Agree Evangelist is a phucker.

I wanted to share something that I'm sure most will already know, but I've only just discovered it the hard way... Once you finish a round, the "advance" button (on the screen that also gives you "scoreboard" & "leaderboard" buttons) takes you directly to the first tee for the next round. So you've technically already started the new round. There's therefore no opportunity to change clubs between ending one round and starting another, unless you don't press "Advance" (which seems counter-intuitive) I didn't realise this - between rounds 2 & 3 I took a couple of days off, changed clubs, re-modelled & re-callibrated my swing, and re-calculated my yardages. The improvement in my approach play was significant... But for the majority of R3 I still had my old clubs, albeit with a newly callibrated swing and yardages based off very different clubs. It took me embarrassingly too long to work out why I was suddenly overshooting every approach... That's all my fault. Normally I'd laugh it off, but given it's qualifying, it's a bit (ok... very...) frustrating. That said, before I started my R3 this morning I did check my bag (on the screen after you've clicked on the "play event" screen - where you have the option to "Edit your golf bag"), to check I was using the new clubs (as it had been a while since I'd played R2). They showed as the new clubs in there, but obviously... MY CADDY LIED TO ME !!!

Any word on if they're expanding the CC yet? Xbox player, I went +1, +1, +2 and blew up with a +8 for +12 total that has me sitting around T1700. Even had I kept it steady and just shot a +2 in R4 I'd still be on the bubble. Would have to play absolutely lights out (for my standards) at Evangelist to make it back inside the 1450 cut line

So far my favourite fake name is Eggbert Nobacon Close second to Herman Beeftank for me. It would make my day to find out they're both real! "Where are you going honey?" "Just meeting Herman down the pub." "Oh ok. Tell him to say hi to Gemima for me. No Eggbert today?" "No, he's out with Mary Hinge." I've enjoyed scrolling down the leaderboard, quite a few have made nice moves or the opposite. Every shot really does count! jakierobo85 ruined it with a birdie at 18! 62, 82, 71! Sorry to keep tagging you Jacob, your scores just stood out for me. Way to steady the ship after that second round 👍 I was looking at some old leaderboards and found this from Korn Ferry/Web or whatever it was called in 2018, looks like Mary beat out Betty ![](https://i.imgur.com/kkByhgq.jpg)

I'm currently sitting at 1651. I really wish I would have taken a break after round 2 like I wanted when i was -4 like I wanted. Instead I decided to grind out the last two rounds and now sit at +11. Going to really need to do well in the next event.
Round 1 and 2 were 29 putts each. Round 3 and 4 were 34 putts each. Woof.

Is there a deadline to finish first 4 rounds? Or is it 8 rounds by next saturday no matter when you can get them in?
