I think at this stage, I've played 7-8 on a variety of conditions, winds, and tees. I've shot anywhere from 64 to 85. Definitely going to be an interesting week I'm right there with you. I'm at -2 through four rounds at Whiskey Dunes but I can't seem to put two good nines together at Evangelist. I could end up anywhere from -15 to +15 after the next four rounds. Feels like real golf where once I make a bad swing, I feel like I've completely lost it for the round and there's no way I can make another birdie. Then I stick one close and I get the feeling of "oh this is easy, I'll birdie the next couple holes too" That was me in one of the rounds at Whiskey. Very poor +3 thru 12 and then played the last 6 at -6. Just caught fire and started hitting great iron shots. Almost like a momentum factor.

Went ahead and finished up so I can go back to BL3! Sounds 1 and 4 were amazing. Rounds 2 and 3 were meh. -27 for rounds 1 and 4. -12 for rounds 2 and 3. Yikes. Anyway, more than thrilled with my 4 round total of -39! A couple on boneheaded plays and putts hurt in my middle 2 rounds, but that's golf. Bring on next week! I think I squeezed by bassman70, so all is as it should be! 😊😊 😎😎 Edit: He ain't played his last! 😂😂

Hey Doyley, just to be clear.. how do we determine the pins we are playing? I think we need it in large, red letters, notarized by Tim, Doyley and Jeff, in triplicate, underlined, boldfaced but not italics. I hate those. Doyley add it in with only italics, and while you're at it use comic sans Damn. Excuse me for overlooking it and asking.

Pretty happy with -15 after a bad start in rounds 1 and 2. Tempo was way off. I should have stopped playing after round 1, but I kept going. Took a break between rounds 2 and 3, got my tempo back, and then played my best round in the wind. If I could putt...
I'm looking for Kinetic at worst, so I'll have to be sharp at Evangelist

I have a friend who's looking like he's going to end up near the bottom of Platinum. Seems like that's about the worst place you can end up because he's not ever going to have a chance to win, but I guess that's the downside of making it to the top tour! I'll be perfectly content ending up in a tour with players around my skill somewhere in CC.
Has there ever been any consideration for grouping the top top of the bunch players into their own "super platinum" type tour? Seems like it really sucks if you're good enough for platinum and can't go out there and shoot -12 to -15 every round. I briefly played TGCTours back in TGC2 so I'm not too familiar with how this all works. I would imagine the same four or five guys win every tournament on the former PGA, right?

It doesn’t matter what happens the line drawn will always have people at the bottom of their appropriate bracket. I think what people need to come to terms with is not everyone can win. There are a host of pros on tour who do not win. It’s just how it is.

We had a World Tour that was basically what you mentioned back in season 4 during TGC2. No matter what number you pick there is still breakaway amount ahead of the others and there will still be those stuck near the bottom. I played the entirety of last season on PGA and only made 30% of the cuts but stayed all year. Making realistic goals is what I did. Making cuts was my goal.

I’m super excited for cuts. I say that as a CC player who has never been good enough to be in a flight with cuts. I can’t wait so I’m hopeful with my score I slot Into CCG so I’m at the bottom.... only one way from there.

As long as the guys who finish at the bottom get more WGR than the top of the tour below them then they should be ok. The only real goal is moving up WGR winning the top tour makes the climb faster and just playing the events has to be more than winning in a lower tour

Crap...now T2594. Come on folks, finish up your rounds so I can stabilize! Some one willing to do me a solid and throw this poor old Cajun a line so I can climb out of this shaft? By the time round 4 results are posted I'm going to need a miner's helmet with a lamp.

Last night when I fluffed round 4 cos I took a 2 day break I was getting more perfects but playing for fast and ending up in the right rough. If I play I will get better. The climb is on!!!

The only real goal is moving up WGR winning the top tour makes the climb faster and just playing the events has to be more than winning in a lower tour I think his point is more for the week to week play. If the qualifying ended after round 3, as things sit, the players on the Kinetic Tour would have all finished between -12 and -10. That makes for a way more competitive tournament where anyone can win on a given week. I doubt everyone will feel that way on the Platinum Tour.
