Vote pro because I've love to continue playing at TGCTours. Feel bad for the Beginner/Pro-Am players and still don't understand what's going on - this feels like a false choice. The societies necessary to support everyone exist already, right? Beginner Tour society becomes the ProAm tour. Opt-in, no progression out. CC-Am society becomes the Pro tour. Opt-in, no progression out. CC-Pro society becomes the CC-Master tour. Q School in, progression out. Then you have the PEK tours, which - do whatever they want. Everyone has what they need. Everyone has a place. No trouble tickets about difficulty wars. I don't understand why this option isn't being considered. There isn’t enough room on the site for both tours..... this is replacing the BCT on the site. Adding another tour to the site requires to much work for its benefit I believe

Adding another tour to the site requires to much work for its benefit I believe No tour would be added with that plan. there was CC-am and CC-pro before. now it would be cc-pro and cc-master. There would be initial setup for sure. In my head, Pro Tour would use the same courses and setups as the Pro-Am tour, just with the higher swing difficulty and less in-game aids enabled. But it seems that they do feel that there's a manpower issue and they're the ones doing the work, so we need to respect that. There could be far more backend stuff that we don't know about. But yeah; in a perfect world there would be 6 tours plus Q-School Pro-Am Pro Q-School (Master) Challenge Circuit (Master) with multiple tiers Kinetic Elite Platinum But again - we need to respect the amazing work that's being done. And if they think it's too much extra, let's believe them and be happy they are understanding enough to give us a chance to play Pro.

I’d honestly play either, but I’d prefer Pro. From my experience, Pro-Am is too close to TGC19 “everything is way too easy”, whereas Pro is the good difference of adding challenge to the game without going completely over the top and unenjoyable. Hopefully once I get my new PC I’ll be able to play Master enjoyably on the main tours, but until then Pro would be my top choice.

Everyone has a place. No trouble tickets about difficulty wars. I don't understand why this option isn't being considered. The admins are planning for a one-difficulty-setting tour across all levels of play. This removes any incentive for players to remain on a lower tour in order to play the game at a lower difficulty. The Pro-Am tour is replacing the Beginner Club Tour - a separate place for TGCT members to play on easy settings with no career progression. Yes, this will result in some TGCT members no longer playing the Tours. The admins are OK with that. TGCTours runs free of charge, but it isn't free. Hosting the Tours costs Tim, Scott and Jeff real money, so there is a real need for them to limit the size of the tours. The decision they made - in lieu of charging a subscription fee - was to lean in on the competitive side of the spectrum. That means that the players who aren't skilled enough to handle Master difficulty are the ones who will not qualify for a Tour Card. There isn't going to be a career progression on TGCTours if you don't meet some kind of competitive standard. The Pro-Am Tour is meant to cater to those players who aren't able to meet the standard, or would just rather play an easier game, and give them a place to play and be a part of the community. Also, there is a limit to the number of societies TGCTours can operate. The admins have decided to shrink the Challenge Circuit back into a single society, and re-purpose what was once CC-Am into something else. TGCT has not made an announcement about how that new society will be used. At last look it was still named "TGCTours TBA".

OK cool. Glad we had this discussion. Nice to know, yet again.

I mean on the one hand, they're OK with repurposing the CC-Am to "something else" but also, can't have a pro tour because it would be too much work. So I'll call BS on that logical inconsistency. But if they're OK with cutting out the pro-level players, good to know.
I'm OK cutting out my monthly donation too.

Can you answer a few questions, please ? Do I use the MyPlayer function to set Master level vs. Pro or ProAm clubs? Or is that a setting determined by each individual course ? Do I use master clubs, for instance, by adding them individually to my golf bag, or how do I set myself up to play with them ? It seems the prior game was more intuitive so I don't quite know what I'm doing yet. Is there an instruction manual or help function within the game ? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me.
Once HB fixes the bug with this, all the settings you need in the TGCT societies will be locked in by the admins - so you won't need to do anything yourself - just play.
No such thing as master clubs - all clubs are available to choose from on all levels.

I don't have a problem with someone expressing the sentiment that if the tours don't align with their preferences that they would cease supporting the tours.
We're here for fun, right?
The changes proposed for the tours will, admittedly, leave some people out. I don't think it's beyond reasonable to think those folks would spend their time and money elsewhere.
I might be one of those people left out of the tours. I'm very much on the bubble, I think.

Pro and meter set to distance only for me, a good balance between difficulty and entertainment

So we are discussing the difficulty level for the "old" pro-am tour(s), correct? Personally, I've thought for a long time they should charge a yearly fee of $4.99, $9.99, or even $19.99. It would go a long way toward covering some, if not most, of the costs while also reducing membership. A win/win for the admin, in my opinion. I voted for PRO difficulty. While I played Master clubs and on Euro last season, I doubt I will find myself anywhere near the "pro" tours in this game. And depending on how Q-school goes, I may decide Master difficulty isn't for me and request a demotion to whatever tour this is. lol Pro difficulty with some aids set to ANY (swing meters, green/lie grid, aiming reticule, etc). That way anyone that wishes to play with those off can do so knowing they are playing at a disadvantage to the rest of the tour. It's actually how I played Euro last season - no lie grid or aiming reticule. Missed a lot of cuts too.

Not to be confused with the Challenge Circuit - which, like all the other 'main' tours - will be Master difficulty
