if ya can't afford $10, and you are still putting many hours into this game, you dont have your priorities strait. there are a few exceptions, but im talking in general here. So by your count, as I have no income at the moment, not paying out on DLC even though I'm getting a lot of playtime out of the game means my priorities are wrong? Okay, sure. Could you please point me in the direction of the orchard where the money grows bountiful on the trees? Honestly, I hope to christ that job interview I had on Wednesday comes through. If it does I'll gladly buy it but just remember not everyone is as fortunate as yourself.

Oh and for the record. I think the TGC should use the DLC. The tour should use the widest variations of course it can and not limit itself.
I just disagree with the notion that it's "only $10".
When your personal income is zero and your living off someone else's money week to week, that's $10 that could be better spent elsewhere.

I agree 100% that TGCT should use the DLC.

It's simple , You have 2 choices: Pay $ 10 & play or take a week off.

I've played golf games with DLC. The themes were all purchased by the regular golfers. I don't see anyone holding out on two themes for $10 that play this game regularly. My thoughts exactly. People drop $10 without even blinking on their cell phones for additional content, apps, etc. The people who don't buy the DLC will either just refuse to do so out of stubbornness, are in the extreme minority that truly can't afford it, or were just so-so on the game in the first place.

Plus we may get more members in addition with the hard copy version (which includes the theme). I am guessing they had to increase the cost of the game for shelf retail and wanted to balance by adding 10 bucks to the electronic group...

Let's restrict this thread to the topic of the OP and limit the social commentary.

Right, let's just hold the bus for one second here. How DARE you sit and accuse me of being unwilling to get a job, sitting on my rump and not looking. You've got some cheek on you. Do you know me? Do you know how many hours a week I sit and trawl websites and papers looking for work? Do you know how many CV's I send out of a week? Do you know the area in which I live or what the employment situation is like here? No, you don't, so kindly put away your membership card for the Conservative Party, wind your neck in and pack in the character assassination. Secondly, it is not "my god" as you put it as I don't actually have "a god". The line was simply a turn of phrase which a lot of people in my area use, for religious reasons or otherwise. And even if it was "my god" I don't see why would that should be a problem for you. Furthermore, yes actually, I think you are pretty fortunate. Great for you if you are getting 50-60 hours a week, I wish I had your problem regardless of how much the pay is. If you worked to get that then all the more bully for you, as it happens, I was made redundant from my last two jobs through no fault of my own. In one case made redundant after having given the company over 4 years of solid service. And if you really must know. I actually only play The Golf Club in the evenings, after having done the things I need to do. As it happens, I haven't had the time or been able to afford to play real golf for a while, for one reason or another, so this is as close to playing a sport I love as I'll get right now. In fact the only day where I play The Golf Club for any chunk of time in the afternoon is a Wednesday, when I make a point of taking a break from whatever I'm doing, job hunting or otherwise, to play and submit my 4 rounds for the tournament and listen to my favorite podcast whilst I'm at it. Just because I'm hunting for a job, doesn't mean I should be spending every waking hour of my life devoting myself to it and my life should be devoid of any fun or relaxing activities. Let's restrict this thread to the topic of the OP and limit the social commentary. Rest assured this is last I'll be posting about this. And if taste's views are what the general consensus is around here then I might have to reconsider if I want to be any part of this tour or it's community.

You must have missed the part where I said "in general" You are COMPLETELY out of line: "ya, if you are busy playing the game nonstop, you are not out looking for a job. this isnt the great depression, there are jobs out there, if you are not willing to get a job because it does not suit your wants then thats on you." This is a childish and hurtful comment with ZERO merit !!

I love how we can say ...go out and get a job...like it's that easy these days. Always comes from the guys who have worked somewhere for a number of years, well those of us who are finding our careers, it's not that easy. I too was out of work and found very little $$ to spend on anything that wasn't necessary - and a DLC certainly counts towards not necessary expense.
People come here to escape, and a DLC is definitely anti-community, the irony is the ones that are trying to keep the community together by their narrow opinions, are the ones that are pushing people away.
