Ugh, for those like me who play both on PC and console, I'd hate to have to pay twice like I already did for the game though

I think it's pretty obvious what TGC Tours stance on it will be. We are in this for the long haul and will be using all themes available. There will be a bit of grace period before the flood of Tropical and Asian themed courses come out (after it's released). When they do TGC Tours will be using them.
If you decide not to buy the DLC, that's all fine with us - it's a long season so just sit out the weeks that have those courses on your schedule.

I've played golf games with DLC. The themes were all purchased by the regular golfers. I don't see anyone holding out on two themes for $10 that play this game regularly. I must say with all do respect I disagree Doyley. . I think it will be a bigger split than you think. That's just my opinion though.

How many golfers are we on TGCT? 1000? 1500? That's like 10-15k$. What does a software developer cost per year?
Who are the additional 5000 people that need to buy this DLC?
Clear that HB is banking on the disc release, the DLC part is probably a minor component, monetary wise. We are lucky they got the disc deal going and hopefully this will extend the support.
I say use DLC themes freely at TGCT - push people to support the game they obviously like to play.

It's basically saying those that can't afford $10 for the DLC are restricted in.the rankings as they will have to play a different tournament that Week. They may have played every PGA event but have to cross over that week because tgctours decide that you have to pay $10 to continue your aim of topping the PGA money list. Just sit out those weeks that's play tropical. Lol. That's saying directly if you don't buy the DLC WE WILL hamper your attempt to top the rankings you are currently aiming for. Rory can't play the next tournament on the PGA Tour or Euro Tour because he hasn't purchased this brand new priority card they have brought out so instead he will go play his local course and fall down money lists This isn't having a go Doyley but I am.strongly disagreeing with the stance you put forward. I will buy the DLC as HB deserve it, but not all will and it's not fair as a website to discriminate against those who don't part with cash by deliberately hampering them from trying to achieve their aims ie topping a particular money list

Put it on your credit card and pay 2 bucks a week..... Not worth the effort of your angst. And if it's not your stance don't wage somebody else's battle

if ya can't afford $10, and you are still putting many hours into this game, you dont have your priorities strait. there are a few exceptions, but im talking in general here.

I think this is a non-issue. TGCTours are in it for the long haul and will ultimately cater for long term committed players. Committed players will in all probability pick up the dlc on day 1 anyway.

Lots of people have offered monetary donations to tgctours. Just consider buying the dlc as a redirection of that tenner you were gonna paypal us. The longevity of tgct depends on the longevity of hb's support for this game. And since it puts food on their tables, toss 'em a little love.

Just want to point out this game wasn't free to start with... there is an initial cost to join in with tgc and an inevitable top up... plus we have a couple of months plus some grace period to save up... cant' get fairer.
Oh and I bet you won't find a single player that fussed about their ranking points that they wouldnt accept an alternative event and who wouldn't incur the cost

Exactly what I was thinking Job.
TGCTours has an (optional) membership fee of $10 that is fully waived if you support HBS career mode/course theme DLC.
Anyone choosing to not get the $10 "membership" can still participate in most tournaments and have full forum access except for the Euro Tour press tent party pics thread. I'd say the latter is well worth the $10 fee alone!
