PGA Tour 2K21 Monster Thread!! I've invited many of those who attended the preview to pop in and answer any questions you guys may have. There will be lots of content to sift through so ask away and one or all of the following can offer up their thoughts and opinions on most things PGA Tour 2K21. Not everyone will be streaming or posting to YouTube but I'll add as much social media info I can find so you can give them a follow and track their online presence as well. If you're on Twitter they are using #PGATOUR2K21 to help promote as well.

Going to be a fun day - enjoy the mass amounts of information. Just to give my quick 2 cents I'll post the top 3 things that made me excited about the new game.
1. Designer going global - this will give us even better courses with more variety than we've ever had
2. Swing Calibration - if done correctly, this should balance out any imbalance across systems/consoles - you take 10 swings on the range to set your "ideal tempo" No longer are we locked to HB Studios perfect tempo! (within reason)
3. Select tees per round - this one is relatively new to me but you can select tees per round in society events now which means even more variety available for tournament courses. Front pin? Use a front tee! Thanks HB for this!
There's a ton more including the Legend difficulty level that has blown open the doors and given us lots of room to work in w/ regards to swing difficulty. My best score so far is an 86 on that level - it's hard! We have lots of fun decisions to make coming up.
For now, enjoy the streams - ask your questions and we'll do our best to answer throughout the day and coming weeks.
First impressions - they listened to community and added a lot of customization to the game.

Swing Calibration sounds amazing Doyley. I can be patient and watch a stream to understand better...but can you expand on that a bit when you get a chance? Platform consistency....nice! |

In the training menu you head to the range w/ Driver. You take your 10 best swings - trying to hit perfect tempo and straight. At the end they take the info gathered (which I assume will help w/ the variety of controllers and their different polling rate) and set that as your specific tempo going forward.
You still have to hit the ball close to their designed tempo (which is much faster in this version) but with controllers having different polling rates - this will hopefully smooth out the differences and allow for fair competition across platforms.
Of course, the preview was PC only so this has yet to be fully tested across PS4/XB1/Switch. This is why I left in the caveat of "if done well"  |

Has there been any talk of how they will handle next gen console release? If i buy it on PS4 do i get a free code when the PS5 comes out? Is the tour going to be set up to include next gen?

Perhaps if you could elaborate on that at some point after you have an understanding of it. |
