I'm a lumberjack and I'm not very good. To be fair, again used these as my warm up rounds for the Grail and was going along OK until a bunch of dropped shots on the back 9 in round 2 and some more brainless putting. Really liked the course SAM, have recommended it for our Friday night alt shot but I don't know what else they have in the pipeline. Also played round 3 of the Grail, ended with a -1 69. Not what I was aiming for at the start but actually not unhappy after pulling it back from +2 with 6 to go. I'm actually really enjoying that course as well, best one we've had for a few weeks. A solid final round will see me to easily my best result of the season in C Cubed. After 4 missed cuts and a 94th that's not saying a lot, but progress is progress, right?

If you listen very carefully you can hear the sound of my fingernails screeching down the blackboard as I slide towards the cut line. I haven't played my rounds 3&4 as I can't seem to get round anywhere under par at the moment.

Well. I was going to play my CC rounds for the grail this week, BUT... Birdied the first, all good. Went in the water on 2 and got the dreaded water glitch where you can't play, drop or do anything. Tried restarting a couple of times but still the same with my player stood in the bushes like a lemon. Any ideas how to get around it? photos.app.goo.gl/JjejAAwS9hF6C8ko8

Chief If you have already dropped the ball it seems as though there is no answer. If you haven't dropped then you should be able to use the button to replay from the tee under penalty. If the drop has put you back in the water (as Frans had an issue this week somewhere) it would appear that the only options are to swing away until the shot limit is reached or withdraw from the tournament. Which is the situation you are in? I have no wish to benefit from HB's inability to code 'dropping on the line of entry to a penalty area' properly.

Got to love these cutlines!

Cheers Greg I landed next to the water, took a shot and went in the drink. No option to drop or play further shots. I have encountered this before and its lights out I think. Can't see a way around it. Rubbish!

Grail Hunt - Round 3
I have been delaying playing this round as I have really not been able to play decently in any format for a day or two. I bit the bullet and headed out. 25' birdie putt on the first, missed the 8 footer on 2, birdies on 3 and 4. Solid golf for the next ten holes picking up a birdie on the 9th, then birdie-eagle-birdie 13-15. A stupid bogey on the 17th and completing the round making par on all the par-5s meant it was -7 for Round Three.

Hunt for the Grail - Round FourStruck the ball really well but ended up in the middle of a Rio Street Carnival, never seen so many Brazilians. I did manage to birdie the last so at least one of the par-5s gave me something this afternoon. A dumb bogey and a few birdies got me to -4 for Round Four. I fear for the gentle ladies of Rome, I suspect some disreputable barbarians will be having their way with them before the week is out.

Got to love these cutlines! Definitely breathing a little easier now a couple more have played and the cut line has dropped another shot. Looking forward now to a week of mid-table mediocrity rather than my usual rollercoaster of top-tens and missed cuts which has been my lot this season. Well done on making the cut.

Final Week - State of the Parrots Midweek Round-upWith Chief 's aquatic misfortune slightly delaying the pairs games in the Battle of Palestine II, I will endeavour to bring you up to date with how things stand. Essentially it's all tighter than a gnat's chuff. The Romans currently have nowt to show for their efforts as the Mercenary Horde batter away at the gates of the Empire. Still lots of points to play for in that one but it has been a week of below par performances from fransslabak 's legionaries and they could well end up on the wrong end of a shellacking as crushtastic , Giraffe72 and digsb are all finding some form so far. IGolfBad has a chink of light in his match against Jamie but I have a distinct air of Mr Blobby about my week and Art Vandelay is off his game so far as well. Can either the Spanish Inquisition or the Knights of Camelot take advantage of the dodgy Romans. So far the answer is not really. They are embroiled in a slug-fest as the Inquisition bid farewell to the fans Riotous , SAM , SkyBlueBen and cappy1 have shared equally all matches decided with up mup kupen nup , hoosierhoops24 , sid snott and guest Parrot Celtic Wolf . The Inquisition find themselves 7 points behind the Romans with 12 points to play for plus the Twit round which could give them another 6 points over the Romans. The Knights have probably left themselves too much to do at 14 points behind the Empire with only a mathematical 18 points potentially to gain. Surely Frans can't blob and usually there is an upset somewhere along the line so another couple of wins should see the Romans home. Then the lawsuits start...... Whilst Kevin probably won't be lifting the Grail this season, he is now very much back in the hunt for the Norwegian Blue individual title. Frans' advantage is down to 3.5 points. Frans could pick up four from his singles plus whatever the Romans do in the Twit round. Kevin has just one singles match and the Twit round. It is going to the wire. Sam will be third and the fight for the minor places is between Ernie, Art and myself. The recent converts will surely overhaul the points totals of the Dearly Departed. This week's Twit round will be absolutely crucial. I had a quick round on it this afternoon and there are plenty of opportunities to pick up shots but also to let them slip through your grasp. Bon Chance to everybody and ONWARD!!!

I do love the fact that I have absolute no idea what any of you are going on about. Is this usual?

I do love the fact that I have absolute no idea what any of you are going on about. Is this usual? For us? Yes For you? I have no idea... 😂😂😂 All you need to know is that the Romans are in danger of loosing and everyone except for the Judeans, Knights and Spanish dudes feels that’s awful and shouldn’t happen.
