All I know is I think we shouldn't have courses that get torn to shreds to the tune of -70 or whatever this weeks' winning score will be at the highest level of TGCTours. Just my .02 that's what happens when you use the rcr... Yeah, I knew this was painting the situation into a corner with my remark while also knowing this is a RCR.
RCRs work much better on TST because of the restrictions on play which allow much more for the natural defenses of a course than here on the regular tours.
Do I have a good alternative? Not really. RCRs don't necessarily have to be the course played that week. There are good RCRs out there that aren't used that have more teeth. Except for some of the iconic courses (Augusta, Pebble, etc.), a tougher, well made RCR that ISN'T the IRL course could possibly be an alternative now and then.
Again, just my .02 and I understand putting forth courses for this tour and conditions is a no win situation. I have been fine with the conditions the last 3 or 4 weeks and the course choices (both as a good choice and why a RCR was used), so read my comments as nitpicking more than bit**ing if you will.

I totally get it... I choose to use the RCR this week... would we use it again next year? Prolly not... but it also depends on HBs version...

It actually was a good change of pace with a whole different pressure of having to birdie every hole.
