Demonondalinks - Awesome! Look forward to hearing your thoughts! b101 - Thank you and the rest of the TGC reviewers for the service you guys provide as well! I too try to acknowledge that every designer sacrifices time, effort, and energy from other areas of their lives to create courses for this game, and that sacrifice is appreciated. It's definitely nice to have that appreciation come back to me as well. meyo - Thanks man! I tend to only see the faults in my own designs. Thanks again though for the support! You rock sir!

Finally got around to giving this a run
Really good work, I am a sucker for good planting and its nice to see someone take the time to plant undergrowth around trees and strategically plant to make it look fuller and give it the look of more depth than is actually there... top notch work there
Beautiful track, and you are progressing VERY fast in this architect program
keep them coming sir, really enjoying your work Terry

Played this course twice now, and watched a cool 4-player Skins match on it earlier today.
The designer built a course that he himself would enjoy playing for his skill level, and apparently he and I play about the same! Lol
It's a great round, a fun mix of holes, and especially w/ the round I played with the wind cranked up a little --- it gives a good ## of thought-provoking shots for a 6500yd track.
I'll be back on it again soon.

meyo - That makes sense as to why the number of plays jump up a lot in a day! Thanks for the heads up. nitro22 - Thanks for the kind words! Again, great job on Savuti Reserve! Looking forward to your next publish. robn - Right?!? Lake Lyla is a great shoulder to cry on. Thanks for the support man! Terry Grayson - Again, I stole most of my planting techniques from you. So, I'm really not surprised you enjoyed them... Seriously though, I was actually paying attention when you talked about scale and framing when creating the sense of depth while placing objects in MattF's "The Joy of Planting" series. I'll get better at that technique in time, but I did use it here and there on Lake Lyla. Thanks for your input on that tutorial series! I recommend anybody that hasn't checked out that series click here. For anybody wanting to steal Terry's ideas for planting, click here to get started! Thanks again for the support Terry! jlaughridge - I appreciate that man! I am pretty terrible at this game as a player, so I have to design easy courses that make me feel like I'm good at it! I also do the same thing when I shoot -7 or -8... play it again with difficult conditions and fight for par. Thank you for taking the time to show your support. I appreciate it.

brettbo - Thank you sir. I appreciate the kind words! BIG THANKS to Casanova7448 for yet another great trailer! Also, I recently saw that Lake Lyla will be hosting a tour even on TGCT! I assumed I would never see one of my courses on tour. Plus, it's set for the lower end of the CC and Beginners groups, which is exactly the skill level I was designing for. Again I can't thank this community enough for all of the support! Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge

You were right about the greens. I ended up draining several long putts during my round which was very satisfying. Very easy to read smooth sweeping breaks throughout the course. Good job on this one!

I really enjoyed it. No bogeys, which was nice but it was 2mph wind, which was even nicer 😊
I’m convinced there’s a force field around the holes when I play though. Hitting par 4 greens in 1 and 5’s in 2 .... then two putting minimum. Doh!
Trip to the putting practice for me I think.
Great course, thank you.

Another top-notch design! Loved every inch of the course. Rockwork - goes without saying - is the usual perfection. Retaining walls, planting, streams/waterfalls, etc, is all amazing. I expect nothing but awesomeness from this designer, and he never disappoints. Already over 3,300 plays! Another favorite from a master designer. Great job!

Lifeonaboard - Thanks man. Your ideas really helped, as well as Ben's tutorial on green sculpting. On the course I am doing now, I'm trying to introduce more undulations while keeping the same idea of water shedding. Thanks for the play and support! nifty1 - Thanks for the comments. I agree that there are deceptive looking holes on this course, but I feel it has something to do with putting physics. Mayo mentioned in a DC stream that putts from a certain angle(side-angle of a slope in relation to golfer) almost never go in. That statement has held up as I have played rounds on other designers courses, and many of my playtesting putts on Lake Lyla generated the same outcome because all of the greens have a consistent slope in a certain direction. Thanks again for the play and feedback! gregfordyce - I'm humbled sir. Means a lot coming from you. I am actually working on a course in a desert environment(Steppe theme), and am going to incorporate some of my inspiration from Chaco Pecos Golf Club. They are worlds apart in "looks", but some of your touches on that course will make their way to my course in an altered fashion. Thanks again for the continued support and high-praise! rhino4life - That's awesome! I will try to make it tonight, but will watch the video if I miss it. The last time you guys played my course there was Twitch audio issues, so I just assumed you guys were bashing it. Lake Lyla is the closest I will probably ever get to "minimalist" courses that you prefer, but I still wasn't able to not do a couple waterfalls. Thanks for the continued support since Aristea Skies sir, means a lot.
