**US OPEN Course Design Contest Updates**

Glad to see this contest is taking off! We have alot of courses to look at and judge! Elz, Yeti and I will be doing videos of the top courses (don't make the greens too difficult or Elz will cry ) and will be doing a results/awards show (similar to our Par 3 contest) at the end. Should be fun!

If the course is still tricky and looks good, no reason why there should be trees in it.

No trees should be replaced by amazing bush, plant and grass planting though.

Please judge this one on US open criteria - not asthetics. The Mike Davis era US Open set-ups have been genius and have followed a distinct patten that if followed in game should give credit to the course.

Regarding the putting - if anyone is making it through 18 without being in serious risk of at least one three putt the course or pin placements are just far too easy in my opinion. Outside top 100 on WGR people should be crying on the greens of the winning course here...

Just my opinion of course, but I don't see why planting and looks not affecting how the course plays would be anything more than a minor component to the judging for this competition. Realism should be high on the list of course...

Don't worry, this will be all about the golf, from my point of view anyways.

Still, a good looking golf course will no doubt add to the overall experience.
