I'm in. Can I enter a replication of a real life course or does it need to be something totally out of my warped mind? Also the "beauty" thing, that is soooo subjective from person to person. Hopefully this doesn't carry a ton of weight on the scorecard because it is a minor item imo. Of course it needs to look nice but how deep and realistic are the judges going to be with this? I just don't want to see a crappy playing course get it's kicks because it was beautiful. #SupermodelWithHIV. No denying that there is subjectivity to the voting process. We are all being asked to consider ALL of the voting criteria when evaluating each entry. I will give you my idea of how "beauty" factors in to voting. If there are 2 courses that are very similar on the difficulty, playability, risk/reward dimensions, the one that has more beauty will win. The interesting thing for me is that beauty often comes from a combination of those other factors with planting and landscaping. I've seen lots of courses that had good planting but did not have beauty because of obvious flaws in other areas. At the same time, too much planting can be horrific for frame rates, so there is an economy of detail that needs to be struck. I've rated a few courses in the past that I described as "beautiful in its simplicity". What that means is there was a lot of attention paid to factors other than planting. There will probably be a number of courses submitted that we will use on the tours but it is going to take a special course to be chosen for a major. It's simple as that. But we are only providing a guideline for entries. There is no substitute for experience in using the GNCD when it comes to designing your entry (something you obviously have, Nevada). I don't believe the people who will finish top 3 in this contest will be looking at our judging criteria and checking each one off as they go. If this was your first or even second course ever, you would be an extreme longshot to win simply because of lack of experience, NOT because of voting bias. There are, unfortunately, those who will claim otherwise.

I see this as a good way to mount a good stack of really hard courses to toss into the pga and euro tours for the 2nd half of the season. its a win win anyway you look at it.
if the case comes that one of these losing courses makes the web.com tour, ill call that a failure !!! (for that course)

Every year will have better and better courses as long as HB keeps supporting the game. I may casually play EA Golf Rory PGA Tour (or whatever it's called) but my heart is with TGC and especially TGCTours.

Glad to see this contest is taking off! We have alot of courses to look at and judge! Elz, Yeti and I will be doing videos of the top courses (don't make the greens too difficult or Elz will cry ) and will be doing a results/awards show (similar to our Par 3 contest) at the end. Should be fun!
