Hi all, Yesterday, I had the pleasure of returning to Plymouth Country Club for the first time since 2011. This gem is a par 69 Donald Ross private course. And it did not disappoint. It was in very good condition, the greens were firm and rolling, which provided quite a test for this "early" in the year (given no where to practice is open yet). Great elevation changes and green complexes if you are a Ross fan. Check out some pics (we played from the Gold tees, that was quite enough, thank you!). #5, par 4 408yds Punchbowl! #5 green close up #15 from way behind the green, a 190 yd par 3. Had my best chance for birdie here ...missed it...by...THAT...much...ugh. #17 395 yd Par 4, looking backwards towards tee from middle of the fairway, check out the slopes! (Yes, the cart is driving backwards, he is looking for his ball) #17 green, you can't see it well, but the right side of the green is as a severe drop off down as I have ever played. I would hate to be the dumb a** who misses it short right...oh...yeah...never mind. #18 approach We play "on the clock" so these aren't the greatest pictures as I didn't have much time. Love this plot of land so much. Never been but it’s actually on my bucket list. 18 is one of the coolest Donald Ross finishers ever. Overall the bunkers are still really Rossy. Green shapes and some bunkers around greens I wish were restored but easily a gem. Barely anyone knows about it. Cheers for the photos!
