I ported over Windstone last night so it’s now available for play. There are only two changes: greens are at 165 instead of 172 and we did some tree removal on the ninth hole. Thanks for all of the support during and after the CC Contest and hopefully you can all enjoy the course in the new version of the game.
Designer note: it is suggested to play under firm or very firm fairway conditions and also under at least medium winds. High winds are what I designed it for so that can add to the fun as well since the ground game is very much alive in this new version.

I'm curious...what necessitated the name change? 2k21 has been using it in matchmaking, and the name changed then. Maybe it infringed on some copyright law or something? Was just about to come here and say this, just came up in matchmaking for me. |

Yeah, apparently there is a real course/club somewhere with the name Windstone and 2k didn't want to cause any issues or whatever which is understandable. They worked with me to update the name and we went with Pacifica Golf Club. The cool part about it is that they were able to keep all of the stats and the plays and everything while just updating the name. It will always be Windstone to me but it can still be enjoyed just the same. Thanks for everyone's interest and I hope you all enjoy playing it again on the online matchmaking game mode. |
