I figure I’ll start this as no one has that I can see yet.
How is everyone feeling about Penshaw Bellow? I’m really enjoying playing this beautiful track, even if I don’t expect it to be kind to me!

Started slow at only -2 through 9 holes. Wasn't playing bad as most of my approach shots were leaving me 10-15 ft birdie putts but just couldn't sink any of them. Turned things around after that with 7 birdies and an eagle over the next 8 holes to get me to -11.

-16 first round then let things slip a bit much like last week, ending -51. Guessing I should only play one round at a time but I can never resist playing them all.

Any predictions for the winning number everyone? I’ll take a guess and say -59 gets it done.

Liked the course this week. Only a few holes I didn’t feel like I could have a great shot at birdie. Putting let me down again as I missed very manageable putts under 10 ft way too many times. Especially in the last round - missed a 5ft, 6ft, 9ft in a short stretch that took the wind out of my sails.
Felt like I should have been 2-3 shots better every round, but we can all probably say that.
I was on pace for -60 but came in woefully short of that.
I predict -63 from the winner this week and have a good feeling Troy is going to bring it home. Or Brad, he’s been playing well. Would have said Peter but I saw he fell off a bit after an outstanding first round. Not Tim or Mark though.

Well had a sh!t 2nd round of -12 with an ace and 2 bogies. Played one of those on the par 5 way left trying to cut the hole way short not realizing it was OB. FML. Make some real amateur boneheaded mistakes from time to time. I even saw No way Jose play over there in Round 1 and didn't even hit me when he was still trying to get the green when I was going for birdie.

I agree with the -59 prediction possibly, but not much better. I missed three or four in putts by leaving them short, bloody stupid! Near the end of the third round I realised the green speed was 163 ( I think? ) I hadn't looked until then, very stupid!
Yaters I expected to beat me on Xbox, which he did, and it could be enough to win yet. Good course, it was attackable.

Round 2 was a much more consistent split with -5 and -4 across the halves but that was obviously a worse score than round 1. Putting let me down again.

Nice course. Think I shot around -48ish
Lots and lots of preventable errors but that's not too surprising with my lack of play time and usage of beginner clubs.
Still far more enjoyable that the shitshow that is my tempo issues on master clubs.
Would like to play an event on a really tough course with high winds soon.

My R3 might hold me back. funny enough, my most proud moment was bogeying 18 in R1. I found myself up against the greenfront bunker bulkhead after my 2nd shot and was thinking double or triple bogey would be likely--i was so close to the wall that i had virtually no shot at the pin. pitched out away from the hole and got up and down for bogey. happiest ive been with bogey in a long time -- watch me lose by a stroke though

In the 2nd round I was looking bogey on 18 but hit the flag stick and stopped dead a few inches from the hole for a tap in par.

Round 3 for whatever reason I decided to try some fancy stuff which is basically code for pointless risks that increase my risk while barely offering any reward. This lead to a couple early mistakes, one I managed to scramble for par while the other not so much. That finally woke me up and I started to play like a normal person. Actually was making the kinds of putts I'd been missing all week so despite at least one lost stroke early I walked off with a -12.

Round 4 started slow as my putting was solid but my approach shots weren't dialed in so I was getting close on a bunch of putts that I shouldn't have been making anyway. On the back nine my putting stayed good and I was leaving much better birdie putts that I should and did make. Then came that awkward 2nd shot on 18. One club would likely leave me 50/50 with making it up to the green level or being at the base of the wall. Next club up would be safe but blow me clear over the green. For some stupid reason I opted to club up and aim for a 95% power shot. Shockingly I hit 95% went 8 feet past the hole for an easy birdie putt which I missed as the ball did something the green beads did not alert me was going to happen and I left with a par and another -12.
