Are rookies allowed to join the design league? Does that affect a rookie's ability to join whatever is the next competition a rookie can join?

Entry is pretty much “open” to anyone and runs month to month so no long term commitment🙂. To the second question, Unfortunately yes. At least according to the last rookie contest entry stipulations, that is. Pretty sure all the other contests are “open” to anyone but the field is usually capped at a certain number of entrants and entry may be merit based depending on the contest. I was actually planning on attempting to enter in the most recent rookie comp but this came up so I decided to do the design league instead. It’s really fun and the shorter monthly contests really help to keep things fresh and challenge multiple aspects of course design. It really helped me improve on a lot of different things as a designer. I sort of envision this league as the minor leagues of the TGCT design contest circuit. Hone your skills here so you’re ready when you get your shot at the big time. I believe that there’s currently 3 designers in the WCOD contest that earned their eligibility through the design league. |

Hello everyone! Just a heads up that design league will be back up and running with a new contest, starting on February 15th!
We will start a new thread for Design League 2.
Just like last year, the goal of this is to keep it fun and casual. At the same time it's an awesome excuse to sharpen those design skills!
