I suppose I should chime in and seek clarification, since I figure someone has to be thinking along these lines. Where is the "no tree" line for this? Obviously buried trees are okay, and regular trees on the course are not okay. But what about background trees? If there's trees on the plot, but 100+ yards away from the playing surfaces, is that legal or not?

Even 100+ yards is still a huge aesthetic difference, and the smaller the box we give people, the more creative they will have to be. |

I've already put some time into this one, excited about this whole competition idea! WIP pics coming soon. Quick question though, do the 6 holes have to feel complete? Like, do they have to go out and back to the clubhouse? I wanted to make my course into an 18 hole course after this comp so I was hoping to route 9 going back to the clubhouse instead of 6 on the front. Thanks for setting this up, should be fun!

Routing will not be judged. Your holes don’t have to end up back at the clubhouse but we would like to see 6 complete holes. Good luck! |
