Alright, I need to take a couple day's break from this course, it's finished for the most part, just draped a layer of trees to hide the unfinished holes. Will be an 18 hole course.....eventually. Course name : QDesignSub It is currently 7 holes, just do the first 6, hole 7 is there because I couldnt decide on which par 3s until the last second. Modeled after pretty much every coastal course I've ever played lol

I thought 7 would be too controversial (but 3 is also pretty controversial I think) but now you're making me regret my choice lol

Thanks for the compliments on Torrey. It was a bit of a challenge figuring out how to across the elevation (shown in the first map below) and I can see why the real routing just uses tee shots to go over the ridge in the middle...but it's still a lazy design IMO and doesn't take advantage of the canyons/cliffs nearly as well as it could. The land has so many triangles which are just begging to played into, out of, and across and yet everything just runs safely along side them without ever asking the golfer for anything more than "hit this tiny landing area" on every...single...shot.

Torrey is the design equivalent of "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed"

Here's the VOD of my playthroughs today. I pity the judges of this contest, these entries are all so strong! Great job everybody! Watched your stream yesterday and really liked a lot of the courses entered so far. Some talented folks here! Also, I'll take any compliment where you say I'm a burner account for B101 or Crazy Canuck, haha.

hallzballz6908 finally got around to playing your course! turned on free camera and zoomed around admiring your cliff work. ending up playing the whole thing including the unfinished last bit. Already looks pretty done in my opinion, you did a lot with a little and the minimal planting suits the design well!

I played yours last night and was very impressed. I really liked your planting scheme and the textures you chose for the fairways, greens, and rough. I hope you get it to 18 holes soon!

Really digging the routing and when fully planted this will be a beautiful, tough course. The view of #3 will be spectacular and wayward shots punished! Well done! Really enjoyed playing your entry, including the routing and planting touches. Definitely a holiday course that can be played while the loved ones are shopping! Great job! With the chill in the air, the lights have gone up outside, and the tree is going up inside tonight…that means…time for golf — on the coast! And so it’s time to release my first Design League entry, Hollyberry Hill Golf Club (published as Hollyberry Hill GC - 6H). There is some rugged and hilly terrain to start, which gives way to shoreline holes along the coast. These 6 holes should give you a nice mix of yardages and elevation changes in a short stretch of holes. And of course, you might notice a few trees are decorated for the Holidays. Location: Somewhere a little warmer then here Season: Now Suggested Winds: South, South East off the water will play toughest, North, North East easier. Greens: 175, but you can crank up to 187 if you wish A quick spin around: 1. The opener is a downhill par 3 playing at 200+ yds, the challenge here will be navigating the combination of the elevation change and the wind. 2. The short par 4 second is almost drivable for long hitters with the wind, but is that the best play? The green is elevated and fronted by waste bunkers. Perhaps a 3W and full wedge is in order... 3. Teeing off down the hill, you have a a choice of which side of the split fairway you will take on the one par 5. While the left will give you a better angle into the green in most instances, it is narrower and borders the water on the left. The right side option is wider and safer, but leaves you with an approach to the green over water and bunkers. The wind and hole location should play a role in your decision. 4. This medium length par 4 will dare you to float one left towards the water depending on the wind and hole location, or push you shot towards said water and the rocks. Pray for a calm day. 5. This lengthly par 4 plays to an uphill green fronted by bunkers. Hitting the fairway is essential as well as placement on the fairway. 6. This long par 4 will play tough into the wind. Ideal placement off the tee is down the right side of the fairway in order to have the best angle into the green on a longer approach. Left side toys with the water and leaves you a slightly uneven, sidehill lie. The green is backed by a large Christmas Tree and a friendly visitor…. Pics: 1st tee, 3rd hole, 4th hole, 6th green
