I'm pretty new to course designing and to this community but I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for the 4th design contest if allowed to.

Just so everyone is clear (will be looking to make a new Season 7 WCOD thread as well), the top two finishers in Design League 4 not already qualified for WCOD will get in the field. Here's how qualification for WCOD will work:
SIGN-UP FOR WCOD WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL DEC. 1 (So don’t go responding to this post, saying you’re in). There will be a hard cap of 32 contestants (plus 4 alternates) for this field. The field will be filled in the following way.
1) AUTOMATIC EXEMPTIONS -- Should you choose to enter, you will be automatically in field if you meet at least one of the following criteria: a) Are a champion or runner up from the previous three World Cups (2017, 2019, 2020) b) Are a champion of any previous TGCT Design contest (starting with the 2019 World Cup) c) Advanced to the quarterfinals or better (top 8 finish) in the 2020 World Cup d) Were among the top 5 (and ties) in the 2020 Major and/or the 2020 CC Contests. e) Are a winner of any one of the three TGCT Design League mini-contests f) Have an official course in PGATOUR 2K21 g) Receive a special exemption from the tournament committee (1 to 2 possible, based on merit).
2) AT LARGE QUALIFIERS -- Any one who registers between Dec. 1 and Dec. 30 will be assigned a score based on a combination of performances in 2019 & 2020 TGCT official design contests and number of On Tour/Tour Worthy/Approved courses in the TGCT database. The number of automatic exemptions and other qualifiers shall not exceed 30 entries.
3) TGCT DESIGN LEAGUE 4 -- The final two spots in the field will be filled through Design League 4, which will be held Nov. 1 to Dec. 1. Results will be announced Dec. 31, in conjunction with the rest of the WCOD field. The top two finishers, not otherwise qualified for the event through exemption or at large criteria will be added to the field
4) Alternates: The 4 alternates will be the two highest ranked designers not in the field through at-large formula, plus the third and fourth best finishers, not already in the field, from Design League 4.

I am going to get in on this as I'm almost done with my Rookie Contest course and this sounds like a fun challenge.
Just to clarify - All 6 holes must be on the coast at some point, but all 6 holes can't be lining the coast the entire way? (I am getting this from the 60 yards thing).
Thanks for hosting such a fun event! Really looking forward to it.

Yes - all holes must interact with the coast in some way, but we're trying to keep people from playing in a straight line down the ocean. Should be a very fun twist.

Build 6 Oceanside/Coastline Holes. Rules: - 3 Par 4's - 2 Par 3's - 1 Par 5 - Routing will not be judged -No yardage guidelines -No Planting restrictions -Every hole must be on the coast at some point. -You must be at least 60 yards away from the main body of water at least once. Love, love, love this. P.S. To designers, if your par five doesn't have the cliffside left on the approach to a perched green, I haven't taught you well enough

Holy crap, a CULALLEN sighting! You love to see it! Welcome buddy! Thanks! COVID causing me to work from home has gotten me more involved with the game. Forgot how much I missed it! I need a design contest to push me.

I already have an idea for the hole that's 60 yards from the ocean... don't @ me!

Well, TannerBronson and tpetro never showed us the standings anywhere, but my chances for holding onto first for season 1 are dwindling I presume.

Rookie designer question here and I read back to the original post (phew 23 pages), but please clarify where we "publish" the 6 holes. Do we publish in the game itself or is there a place in the forums that this is done?
Just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

Just publish the course into the game and notify us that you've done so, either with a thread in Completed Courses or a note in this thread.

Okay, I'll take a lob wedge to the shins, but for extra clarification on the 60-yard rule, an example would help. So, the "at least 60 yards from main body of water at least once", means at least one part of the hole, (ie., tee box, fairway bend (or landing area?), or green) must be at least 60 yards from the main body of water, correct? So, If one tee box is 60 yards off the main body of water, we're good? If the landing spot of one of my par 4 or the par 5 fairway is 60 yards away then good? Sorry for the extra questions, but want to ensure I have a full grasp as I go forward with my design.
