There's a couple of courses I wont be able to get Lidar for, but would still be interested in pulling the OSM into the designer, as they are pretty flat. Is there a way to do this? I see an option for "Make Flat Course from OSM File". Is that part of the process?
Thanks for any help.

So everytime I try to add the osm file using the tool, it never shows a course preview on the black screen? The course looks correctly mapped though on OSM? The course is Tuxedo GC in Winnipeg.

imgur.com/a/ZQGqvT9Here is a link to the image when I try to do a flat course. It says it is adding OSM from XML, but then the black screen says there is an error? I have no idea how to handle that error for a flat course?

You had the steps right. The whole point of this feature is that if you can't get Lidar, AT LEAST you can have the splines spaced out correctly. 1) Export a .OSM from the Open Street Map web interface. 2) Import a blank .course file for theme you want 3) Skip to Import Heightmap and OSM tab 4) Click on the "Make Flat Course from OSM" button at the botton. The free web service we use to calculate where on the planet courses were has shutdown, probably because of covid. Try the newest release and see if that works for you: github.com/chadrockey/TGC-Designer-Tools/releases
