Not sure if this is the right place for this? Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club, Merseyside, England. Lidar sourced here - environment.data.gov.uk/DefraDataDownload/?Mode=surveyCan provide a link to the .laz file in necessary? Zip file seems to only come with a .laz file. Ongoing problem with tool unable to locate EPSG. How can I locate this then force It to work?

How big is this .LAZ file? Sometimes the tool chokes if they are too large, but sometimes if you keep trying the tool will process it. I have had the tool give that message on files of 300 Mb, but then work later on.

I have tried a few times over the past 2 days, but to no avail unfortunately!

Which Lidar are you using?
I've quickly knocked the course up, using: Product > National Lidar Program Point Cloud 2019...I'm not saying this one is the one to use, maybe there are better quality ones in the: Product > Lidar Point Cloud drop-down tab as well.

Roger always come to the rescue, but yeah, 1 meter resolution isn't great. I would see if others are available.

You need to type in 27700 before you "Select the Lidar and generate heightmap".

Appreciate you bearing with me, your screenshots are helpful! I did try putting the EPSG in first before selecting the folder, although was hit with this error below ibb.co/RGXvdPJ

Get the actual Laz image (?) out of the folder P_11646, and put it in your course directory.

I couldn't get the 2018 Lidar to work, it pulled through a few holes from Hillside next door, but none from Southport:
There were 10 LAZ files for this one, that all have to go into your course directory.
The 2017 Lidar data worked, but looked no better than the 2019 data in-game, maybe worse?
The 2014 and 2010 lidar I haven't tried (they are 4Mb and 23Mb respectively), that only leaves the data from 2016 and 2008...but I've got to step away for a bit.
