The contests here are for FUN. They are a showcase. Is this possibly the answer? Scrap the ideas of 'contest' and just make them 'showcases'... Wouldn't have to crown a winner, because it'll just essentially be like an Art gallery - Let those who want in do their thing within the allotted time - have a publish window - and then 'showcase' the courses properly for the community to enjoy! The Back Yard Challenge - I believe - was a start in the right direction... ..as you were.... |

Everyone, I am going to respectfully withdraw from the contest. Eric has done so much for me and this community to the point that I want to pick up his pieces. I want to take charge of the contest for him in respect of the people that think I shouldn’t for the reasons I’m withdrawing for.
The results don’t matter to me at this point. My course got enough exposure and I’m happy with it already. I’m just glad it got some attention from you all and I hope to give you all the same.
Eric, thank you for all you do and I want to help any way I can.

Please don’t drop out Dylan, you’re a good dude, but I’d love nothing more than for you to see this through to the end no matter the result. I’m nowhere near that important man. I appreciate the sentiment, and it would be great to see you help run an event in the future.

Pithy has already said he is willing to host a reveal stream, and we have others who can help him through that. What exactly would you need to do for us? Really bud, we don't need you. I know the boys that wanna keep calling me out or put me in my place because of whatever reason they’ve justified would like to believe I effed this all up, but that’s not the case. I was just one of THREE people in charge of this, so me not doing a results show should hardly make this fall apart for God’s sake. Beyond that, as Wes accurately pointed out, I have not quit my judging responsibilities or walked away from the panel, nor do I intend to. So if me not feeling jolly about getting on a stream to read results is yet another notch on the headboard of anybody that feels negatively about my involvement, you’re free to put up your middle finger in my direction, I do not care.
Dylan, as Dan said, the judges are too far along, so your results will NOT be pulled from the contest. I’m still running things with Dan and Andre, and that is our decision. Your heart is in the right place, but there is no need to fall on the sword for me.

Judge dream team. Judge the rookie and give some new guys some notes. I'm sure people would be happy to have you behind the scenes of a contest for the first time.
