Hello all, I finally got my bootcamp partition on my mac fully working, and have now TGC 2019. I need to run the game in really low settings, but it works. Mainly I wanted to build some of my favourite spanish courses, and lidar should be great for that. The first course I want to play is one I've played a few times, and I love it, Las Colinas Golf, one of the top 20 courses in Spain, venue for some of the qualifying events for the european tour... After making sure the course was mapped on OSM, I got all the laz files from the spanish institution taking care of all things cartography and started messing around with videos, tutos, etc. After the first try I saw I needed an EPSG code (WTF was that?) since the laz files I had did not include any metadata, so started researching the forum and found that Spatial Reference website. The course is in alicante, so I looked for Alicante and found EPSG: 5782. It did not work, I got a brown mess with no holes at all. I kept searching and came to EPSG for Spain, 2062. The result? the same. Nothing, nada, rien, niente. Probably I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what or where, so if anybody could help me out, I'd appreciate it. I already sent a PM to Han, who is "lidaring" some spanish courses just in case he could help.

Hola Bullete!!!! te contesto en inglés para que todo el mundo se entere I did not have any problem at getting the lidar files, those are ok... my problem is related to obtaining the golf course features from OpenStreetMap. When exporting the .course file I get all the elevations ok, but there's nothing in the file, just raw terrain. That's why I'm relating my trouble with EPSG Btw, I just tried your method and I get the same exact result

I tried with those LAZ files and it doesn't work for me either.
Problem looking up epsg with prj2epsg.org and/or spatialreference.org, try running the tool later. Could not find metadata for PNOA_2016_MUR-VAL-CLM_690-4200_ORT-CLA-CIR.laz. Could not determine lidar projection, please report an issue and send this lidar and metadata Alternatively, look for something called EPSG Value in Metadata and provide EPSG.
Looks like both webs the tool use to determine EPSG value are down... You can try in other moment, I don't know.

Muchas gracias bullete. Tenía ese código en una lista de posibles, junto con otros 40, pero estaba dando palos de ciego, así que pedí ayuda por si alguien con más experiencia podía ayudar. Problem is that the laz files don't have any built in metadata, so you need to force the detection. I'm going to remap the course as I've seen some areas that need some work. The course is fantastic, if anyone has the chance to play it, do It.

There are some lines related to EPSG:
gmd:referenceSystemInfo
So I tried those values and found out that 25830 worked like a charm.
Good luck with the editor, I'm eager to play your course!

Sorry Pablo only just seen this thread and your PM to me I have sent you a reply. I haven't read everything in this thread but I will post any info I have in here shortly in case it helps and is still needed by anyone *Edit All the EPSG codes I have used so far I got from the Metadata section on the lidar website for each set of lidar data I was using. The website I have been using is THIS ONE and the links for the Metadata sections can be seen by selecting the "Digital Elevation Models" page and following the relevant link for the data you have used I don't know whether these will help but the areas and EPSG codes I have used so far are the following : Spain in general 4083 25828 25829 25830 25831 Andalucia - (Valderrama / Real Sotogrande / Finca Cortesin) - 25830 Catalunya - (PGA de Catalunya) - 25831
