I have it on 79%, 40% (max), 20% (max). Yet Justin Thomas is still a golf god. He has won 10 tournaments. No one else even has 2 wins yet. Here is the tourney I just finished a minute ago: Hmmm...that's interesting. I am assuming you're playing 4 rounds per event, too? I only play 2 rounds for the regular events and 4 round for the majors. I am just up to the "Legends Championship" major event - AKA, The Masters. Adam Scott is the FedEx Cup points leader with 3,150. Justin Thomas is second with 2,856, Bryson DeChambeau third with 1,995, and Patrick Reed fourth with 1,912. My character is fifth with 1,818. The last event I played was the Valero Texas Open, in which Denny McCarthy won with -12. I was in a three-way tie for second with JT and Marc Leishman at -6. The six-shot win was the largest margin of victory I've seen so far in the season. Adam Scott leads the way with wins, winning 4 times on tour already this season. BDC has 3 wins, JT also has 3. Reed has 2, and there are several tied with 1. Granted, it could be because I only play the two round events, but I don't see results like you have. As I mentioned, I am entering a major for the first time, and will be playing 4 rounds. So we shall see if that makes a difference or not. I have played 4 rounds in each event. There have been 22 events thus far, Thomas winning 10 of the 21 he played in. So it’s not literally every event, but enough to be pretty annoying. My top 5 fed ex points are Thomas 6,282 - Cantlay 3,225 - DeChambeau 2,458 - Scott 2,050 - Reed 1,836. Thomas and Cantlay lead the way with 16 top 10’s. Also I suspect that given the difficulty level set (79%) there is “best” score allowed in each round for a cpu player. I say that because Thomas just won that tourney in my pic with four straight -8 rounds. No one else shot -8 in any round. Multiple other times he has scored the same in all four rounds and blew out the competition. I can see it coming now by round 2. My point is the logic behind cpu scores is broken. In the end, I’ll just live with it. I’m here for TGCTours anyway.

So I am now playing my first four round tourney (The Legends Championship), and I am using 82/40/20 for my settings.
Here's how it looked after each of the first three rounds:
Round 1 Fabian Gomez -5 Adam Scott -4 Billy Horschel -3 Six tied at -2
Round 2 Fabian Gomez -10 Adam Scott -8 Stewart Cink -5 Matthew Fitzpatrick -4 Two tied at -3
Round 3 Fabian Gomez -15 Adam Scott -10 MyPlayer -8 Two tied at -5
Also, I don't know what is causing it, but there is something wrong with the cut line. The cut for my tournament was +11...and only two people were cut! The Legends Championship is supposed to have a field of 98, but only 53 names were on the leaderboard. 51 made the cut...just J.T. Poston and Rickie Fowler were sent home early.
And I looked to see where our friend Justin Thomas is after three rounds - he's T27 at +6.
But yes, I agree 100% that CPU scoring/leaderboards in this game's career mode are all out of whack.

Very next tournament Justin Thomas scores -9 four straight times and wins by 12. Top 5 scores were -36, -24, -20, -16, -16. He beat 4th place by 20 shots!!

Ok. Im officially frustrated with this game. It doesn't make sense on the timing. I've had this since launch on xbox and I can't get a rhythm at all. I've played golf club, golf club 2, golf club 2019, and now pga 2k20. I was able to navigate the first three games and even felt the negativity for timing was a bit rash but now I am in that wtf boat. I can't get to where I feel comfortable. I cant for the life of me figure out timing for 2k20. Its sucking the joy of this game out of me.

I would use more forgiving clubset to start for e.g driver distance of around 270. The difference in margin of error for tempo is considerable if using 290+ distance range for driver and same for woods, irons and wedges. Play on pro swing difficulty to start with and practice swing adapting to the result. So if you get a slow try moving controller stick down quicker. Eventually the muscle memory will remember the feel of a perfect or slight fast/slow. Each club and shot style has different timings so to start concentrate on one club and its timing. Driver/woods are similar. Irons have own timing. Same with wedges. The longest animations are pitches and splashes.

Once I turned off the swing timing and increased the difficulty elsewhere, the game has once again become fun for me. No more slicing it off into the woods for what seems like the same swing I hit it right down the fairway the last time. It's still difficult but it feels fair.

For the moment, I consider playing the Pro-Am competitions. Master seems still too hard to me. At pro level, I play some good rounds (between -5 and -10) and some painful ones (par, +5).
I do not know what will be the level of Challenge Circuit, but if it's for being demoted every month like at the end of 2K19, I'll skip my turn...

Anyone getting weird tempo tonight? I’m all over the place. I had been averaging -4 and tonight I’m about +3 and getting tempos that don’t feel right and getting lots of red putts. The last couple days I hadn’t noticed many red putts at all. Seems weird.

**EDIT** I installed the emulator and it works fine with rumble over bluetooth but not wired...go figure.
So how do you take a practice swing? I couldn't figure out the button.
Is it a bad thing I'm considering putting using the dualshock and the rest of the game using a mouse? Damn you guys got it good with a rumble on an 80 foot putt.
So I plugged in my Dualshock 4 to my PC over a wired connection. Does the Dualshock 4 have haptic feedback? I ask because it is selected on in the game but I'm not feeling anything. Do I gotta install a dualshock for windows emulator for it? Thanks.

It really does suck, cause I'm hitting the ball incredibly well. Getting within 30 feet average to the pin. Approach shots, pitches, chips and drives, all syncing nicely. Then I go to putt and it all goes to hell. Enter practice preview for putting and take 10 practice putts and 1 or 2 of 10 show me a power estimate. Go to putt it and 1 of every 4 or 5 putts, instant deceleration. I've raised DPI, lowered DPI, swung faster, swung slower, tried even tempo, tried slow back, quick forward and the reverse...putting is buggied with mice...simply put. Turn on the dualshock and with the rumble, everything is within the white/grey of power. I'm no where near straight but the power is almost perfect. So unless the upcoming patch fixes something, I'm going to have to figure something else out.
Yeah Jeff said we are hitting our tempo the best...

While this is true, it's also true that's from what I have to think is a pretty small user base. It's not a very good generalization to say mouse users are much better at hitting them when we are only a small fraction of the whole. Might be we are just better and because there's not many of us, it makes us look better than we really are. If mouse was such a great control device, there'd be 100x more of us.
