Just remember it's really mouse users who have it good because we're better at the game apparently. It really does suck, cause I'm hitting the ball incredibly well. Getting within 30 feet average to the pin. Approach shots, pitches, chips and drives, all syncing nicely. Then I go to putt and it all goes to hell. Enter practice preview for putting and take 10 practice putts and 1 or 2 of 10 show me a power estimate. Go to putt it and 1 of every 4 or 5 putts, instant deceleration. I've raised DPI, lowered DPI, swung faster, swung slower, tried even tempo, tried slow back, quick forward and the reverse...putting is buggied with mice...simply put. Turn on the dualshock and with the rumble, everything is within the white/grey of power. I'm no where near straight but the power is almost perfect. So unless the upcoming patch fixes something, I'm going to have to figure something else out.
Yeah Jeff said we are hitting our tempo the best...
I discovered only last night that the only way for me to get a consistent feedback on the putting stroke was to change the style that I putt and pull the stick back fast and push it through fast. Totally alien to me, but I know others are having a lot of success with this... I just wasn't aware it gave consistent feedback. You could do worse than try, at least with your practice strokes, to deliberately speed up the process. If you mouse guys can nail this, then you truly will be the best

The game is broken. Offline it's perfect after perfect. Society is a bit flaky but mutli-player is when things get chaotic. Even the #1 player on PC leaderboard can't hit it perfect 60% of the time. I'm 5th and I'm about 50% of the time. I've tried every in game and system gfx setting you can think of. Not swinging when GPU is spiking and switching VSync off with 120 FPS cap helps for me. But it's still broke.
My current best guess is some kind of network latency issue which can happen in poorly optimised Unity games. It may even be calibration. Once you get a bit of consistency it's like the game forgets calibration. Hard to tell for sure.
I also bought the PS4 version for comparison. Swing stability online is even worse and it's locked to 30 FPS which is horrible.
I have one more big test related to network to do and after that... wait for a patch.
Disheartening to see Devs try and claim BT's mouse script was broken. What are they doing their functional testing on?!

Got to admit I’m completely fed up with this game. I don’t mind it being difficult and I don’t mind a learning curve. What I do mind is paying a premium price for a glitch-ridden product that simply isn’t fit for purpose. Latest test event, I’m -1 after 4 holes and on the par 5 5th green putting for birdie. I walk off with an 11. Why? Because the putting glitch that rears its head every time I play online came to the fore (no pun intended) again. The putter head won’t come back no matter how fast or slow I move the stick. When eventually it does work a putt 20ft putt hit at 35% power ends up 30ft past the hole. And this continues on every putt until somehow the ball on goes in the hole or I hit the maximum stroke limit. Next hole putting is back to normal and stays that way for a few holes until - bang - it’s back again and I’ve carded an 8 or a 9. It’s just farcical. I’ve also had: crowd standing between bunker and green; playing a shot from inside of a grandstand; only available drop being to drop the ball in the water; commentators telling me if I put the foot down and grab a few birdies I can still win the tournament (I was 22 behind with three holes to go at the time); and so on and so on. Now unlike the putting issues these glitches don’t really affect game play but what they do is reinforce how sloppy and poor this product actually is. If i produced something of this quality in my job I’m certain I’d be looking for a new job pretty damn quickly. And finally, what really puts the tin lid on it the “solutions” we’re all having to come up with to try and make a game we spent around $60 on even remotely playable: plug the headset into the controller and the putting’s better; make sure it’s fully charged; change frame rates and the mouse works better (kind of); putt on one leg while whistling Dixie and you’ll hole all the 40 footers you look at. Ok maybe not the last one but you get my point. And the most annoying thing? It could be a really good game; at the moment, it just isn’t.

Craig knows about the deceleration bug but if you want it changed/fixed, the only way it happens is if enough people comment and raise it as an issue ON THEIR BOARDS.

Sorry to hear that Alan. Out of all the issues I have with the game, putting is not one of them. I agree though, the QA on this game is a joke. Supposed Agile or DevOps software development does not mean rushing out a single release and then fixing everything via a deluge of support tickets.
I found these settings got rid of any putting issues. Apologies if you have already tried them. If you're PS4 (also have that version) it's even more goosed than PC for online play IMHO.
1. VSync Off 2. Sensible detail settings. Over 60 FPS at all times. 3. 50+ mouse sensitivity 4. DPI 1000+ 5. Calibrating controller in Steam (if using)
Going by TGC 19 we'll get patches but spread out :-(

I played a round at Winged Foot to try to calibrate my game vs the real thing. Now, with pro settings (x1.96) I played -2 with 57% FIR 66% GIR and 28 putts. If I take the only player shooting 68 yesterday, this puts me at the level of Mr. Dechambeau (50, 67,29) though I think my conditions where quite easier then his (but only have a 270yds driver).
So this setting suits me perfectly for the moment. I do not score ridiculously low or high, but this drives me to the Beer league where some say, like in hell, the fellowship is much more appreciable. .

Where is the gimmie? I see an "Abandon hole", but that's nothing of a gimmie...

I read somewhere that 2k21 will support the tours here on PS4, XBOX1, and PC. In November when the new platforms (PS5 and new XBOX) come out, will we be able to play 2K21 on them or do we have to wait until next season? Just a thought!

Thinking of getting one depending on reviews of both consoles once they arrive.

I asked about that last week Les and this was Doyleys reply: That's more of a Tim question - but I would assume it'll take some time to code/support - we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

I can’t see why it won’t just show up as an Xbox same as PS5 should just show as a PlayStation

Cause imo, XB1 issues come from hardware. Response delay is too big on this machine for a game who needs so much precision. If the series X correct that so XB players will be able to compete against PC & PS4.

I think he was referring to being able to play on this site being the same, not the gameplay itself
