Being on the PGA tour you're playing against the best players in the world that this game has to offer. Sure, you can get a demotion but those 'better finishes' are against less skilled players. No offense to anyone but Id take a 40th place finish on the pga tour over a 4th place finish on the web.com any day of the week.
There are no handouts here at tgctours.

I am on the PGA tour and usually am right around the cut line. I have made over 70% of the cuts and when I do, I am thrilled. That is my goal each week.
My question is about the WGR. Is their a weight system in place as to what tour you play on? I see people on the web.com tours that are ranked higher than I am. If I would drop down to a different tour would that help me increase my WGR? It seems like when I am making a high % of cuts on the toughest tour that I should be higher than easier tour members.
I am having fun. I love playing on the PGA and having to hit a really high standard each week. I am just curious as to how this works.

This! ^^ After two rounds of 58 and 57 not making the cut maybe this week, I was also thinking about the "sense" of performing on the PGA/EUR-Tour. But then I had the same thought as above, even it is quiet frustrating shooting really low scores but still missing cuts from time to time.

those of you on the pga/euro tour. how many rounds do you get in in a week on average? I just cant seems to get anymore then 10 a week, and that comes mostly on Saturday and Sunday. So i get pretty rusty with those 5 days off.

Do you mean rounds generally, or practicing the upcoming course?

Do you mean rounds generally, or practicing the upcoming course? total rounds. I am curious to see if the PGA/Euro guys are as good as they are because of rounds played. If that is the case then that is why people like me are better off in the web.com tour as it seems there are more people like me on there that get around a dozen or so rounds a week.

Looks like everyone needs to have a little patience, the days of -20 cuts are coming quickly to an end. I predicted 2 months ago or so when the putting changes came in that the days of medium/medium were numbered and going the way of the dodo bird. I will end up being right. People will get bored with seeing those scores and shooting those scores. And as usual, there's TGCTours out there trying to get ahead of that curve with the latest competition.

I play the 4 rounds and probably about 6 practice rounds each week so 10. I do not play the golf club for any other courses. I have had 2 top 10 finishes on PGA and 1 being a 3rd

I do the 4 tournament rounds per week, maybe 1 or 2 review rounds, and then about 3 practice rounds on the course to be used for the next tourny.. Some weeks I may play maybe 3-5 rounds more.. Usually less than 15 rounds per week.. But, when the game came out, I must have been doing 30-40 rounds per week for quite a while..

well not to different then what I play then. I think I need to make sure I dont go to many days without playing as that complete causes me to lose my feel for aiming and putting. Heck my first rounds are always a waste because of that LOL. In the last 7 days I think I have played 7 rounds. 4 for the web.com tour and 3 for the psgl tour. all over the weekend. Need to get back to playing a coupe times during the week as well.

I finished to 35 in the Q school shooting averaging -8 per round. I only play the tour rounds and maybe one practice round, but unless I'm playing in high winds, I can score well on harder courses. Anxious to see what Steve is referring to with the end of medium medium. I'm less excited now as I fall in the rankings and miss the cut each week. Really was hoping for the wind modifications coming soon from HB, but looks that will be farther down the road. My putting just isn't strong enough and I found out my wireless controller and distance from my PS4 (all remote in another room) are causing a lag between the controller and what I'm seeing. I got away with it with the old putting system, but since the putting update, I sometimes blast balls off the green. Sucks!

You mean the one currently that has the Top 26 players score ranging from 54-59? Or a previous competition? I'm not sure how anyone is ahead of the curve with scores like that.

Do you mean rounds generally, or practicing the upcoming course? total rounds. I normally practice the upcoming course about 3-5 times. Apart from that, I enjoy playing new courses. So I might end up with about 20-25 rounds/week.

I can't imagine winning even on Champs tour but I got a big kick out of a top 20 finish once (no one can say I was less excited than someone getting a top 20 or 40 on a higher tour). Aspirations of a Web C card down the line..that's my goal but competing with like individual's..now that's why the tour is great.

All I can say now that I'm in the Web Tour, is I think its much better. I'm actually shooting about the same scores and will actually probably make the cut. That and you see some different courses. This may sound strange , but I think many of the courses in the PGA Tour are easier than the ones in the Web Tour, or maybe the web Tour ones are just slightly less refined.. Not sure as I just started the Web tour and haven't seen a lot of courses yet.
