This week we welcome a new designer to the Korn Ferry family as we play Avoncrest by spamjavelin. A quick question, how do you spam a javelin? I am not a expert in medieval and ancient warfare but I have always thought javelins were long and heavy, maybe a person could carry two or three at a time but how could a number of them been thrown quickly enough for it to be considered spam. Anyway, before I get distracted with the inner workings of a javelin, this weeks course is a private course owned by the Avon company. Normally only played by Avon ladies with high sales records, we have been giving special permission to hold an event here this week as well as the week being sponsored by the Avon company itself. As a added bonus, through out the week, special make up parties will held for the members of the Korn Ferry tour. After playing with a lot of ye guys over the past couple of years, well there is no doubt some of ye need this. I am not going to mention any names but some of you guys need a serious lesson in skin care routines. As well as cosmetics, Avon ladies will be handing out golf related Tupperware designed specially for this week so everyone playing this week will have something to store their balls in. Kevin, the designer of the course has always been made a honorary Avon lady for the week and for our amusement when be holding a javelin spamming demonstration while wearing a tight fitting business dress and high heels. A word of warning, please stay out of range of the javelin landing area as tgctours and Avon will not be held responsible for anyone losing a eye. Because up until this week, Avoncrest was a ladies only golf course, adjustments to the length needed to be made. Kevin kind of went overboard with these adjustments pushing the course out to nearly 8000 yards but looking at the positives, with all this extra walking, with the make up parties by the end of the week, some of you ugly fu***rs will be looking better than you have in years. Good luck, and have fun. P.S The middle holes of the course will have some camera lag, I have played the course on all three systems and did not have it affect my shot in any way. If the odd chance there is a issue, the responsibility is mine and mine alone.

Great atmosphere on this course but it's not my cup of tee, a few slow swings too which is very rare for me.
I was garbage apart from the first 8 holes of Round 2, -7 after 8 was getting me all excited in places that haven't been excited in ages, it didn't last long as i finished on -7 for the day and -11 at the cut. Won't make the cut but won't get a Red mark. Keeping a straight swing line or even a consistent swing line is my issue, but there were small signs of improvement this week.

Finally put some good golf together in the first rounds. Missed a few short putts (but made some long ones) to card a pair of -9's and -18 at the cut. I expect to comfortably be playing the weekend for the first time in 4 weeks.
Beautiful course, really enjoyed these rounds

Fairly frustrated as it was one of those nights nothing seemed to go right. Went -6 and -7 which I think is probably 2 off where you need to be for the cut. Haven’t played well recently so disappointing.
Nice course and I enjoyed the setting. Had some video issues like were warned but it took nothing away from the course.

Loved the colour scheme in the 1st round. Beautiful course.
Played just 1 round so far, hit 16/18 greens, hit 13/14 fairways and hit 33 putts. Absolutely nutters.

Hello demotion mark.
Started off nicely -5 after 13. Then a 9 (+5) on the 14th, followed by 2 more bogies killed me. Would've made the cut without those 3 holes!
-10 in Round 2 rubbed salt into the wound...

A missed cut for me as well with -11 after two rounds of -7 and -4. Started the second round with an elegant +3 on the first hole. A bad swing got me into the bunker on the left, from where I hit the tree, which sent me into the drink. Had to drop the ball in the bunker again. The remaining two rounds were ok. In round 4, my putter went to bed earlier than I did, so I had to go on with my bare hands. -8 and -4 for a weekly total of -23. I enjoyed being the chancellor of the penthouse for one week. You have some nice and expensive furniture in there, Friz . The course is a beauty! However, my vain pixel golfer didn't like the lighting, as the shadows let his beige clothing look a little ugly from time to time.

Against my better judgement I set out to play round 2. Happy to see the apocalyptic look is still there. But one has to take bitter with the sweet. Round 1 was 20 wasted minutes of my life. I will never get that back. Ever. Round 2, another 20 minutes wasted. Completely. I think those greens got the virus. At least that is only 40 minutes wasted, could have been 80

That -15 at the top is an insane round, this is not a -15 track!
I let the first round get away from me. Started well with 4 straight birds, but made a mess of the par 5 6th and could only make par and then made a bad choice on 7. Hit the heavy cabbage off the tee, thought I could make the carry over the water. I couldn't, double bogey and back to -2, good start ruined. Rallied with 5 birds in the next 6 to reach the 14th tee at -7, although missed a shortish eagle chance on 13 which really would have put me in a good spot. And then I really limped home. Did at least learn my lesson on 14, hit the heavy stuff off the tee again and this time pitched out rather than take on the carry, and made a good up and down from the fairway for par. But shoddy bogeys on 16 and 17 dropped me back to a disappointing 67. Bad decisions, not good enough off the tee, and some poor touch on and around the greens. Will need a good second round. Again!
I liked the course, but tempo was on a knife edge throughout and I got some poor bounces on the fairways. Probably the price for not checking it out first.

If I don’t make the cut at -14 I’m probably just not in the right league at this point. With the weird tempo and lags it is about the best I can do on a course like this. We shall see where the cut settles this week.

Putting terrifies me now. Does not matter the distance, I keep second guessing myself, over adjusting and then making a balls of it. I had birdie chances, I had plenty of birdie chances but so few taken. Dropping four shots does not help either. -1 for round one.

It's actually been years since ive posted in this forum, but with the world on lockdown I had some more time for this game (not before getting kicked off of Euro in 5 straight tournaments).
But I found my swing again and made my first cut of the year last week, and put together a solid week this week finishing -32 and I think -17 or -18 at the cut so hoping to be safe. I seem to have disappeared from the Korn Ferry tour on the website leaderboards, so hopefully my resurrection happens before Thursday.

This is my second week here but have wanted to break my Xbox and this game in half over the last three months and didn't feel like posting last week after a missed cut.
I've spent the last 4 months in euro.
Hope I can find my consistency and swing of my glory days in KF so I can actually enjoy this game again.
Looking forward to competing with y'all.
I'm gonna drink a few more brews and get my rounds in.
