Yeah.... no. I only finished round two because I didn't want another rage quit to my name. Might well pick up two strikes anyway. Birdied the first two, but a VF on 3 set the tone for the rest of the round and I very quickly lost interest. I think I had just about every combination of tempo swing (including a VS/VF!) except p/p. My tempo has been good recently so I'm just putting it down to one of those things. Nice looking course, but for whatever reason tonight I found it unplayable. Going to put my controller down nicely, turn the game off, and play something else tomorrow.

So I thought -15 would be the cut line but I'm starting to wonder if -13 sneaks in. Still early but seems like based on number of players a lot of people are in already. I think it will be close but I feel better about my chances today than yesterday. Still would much rather be -14 though.

I think it will be close but I feel better about my chances today than yesterday. Still would much rather be -14 though. If I were guessing now, I'd say we see another 15 players in the field, and the line moves to -14. The worst thing about watching the cutline is not having any idea what the field size is going to be. Even if everyone had played two rounds, 20 people could show up on Thursday and shift things. I really wish there was a way to know at least by Wednesday when the second round scores are out what the field size would be. Even if people hadn't played a round, if they had to register or mark their intention to play by the end of the day Tuesday, you'd know what you're up against with the cut. Fortunately I played well this week, but I was sitting in this exact position two weeks ago thinking I'd sneak in based on remaining rounds, only to watch the field size grow throughout the day and push me out.

I thought this was a well designed course, deceptive in parts and you had to be fairly consistent off the tee. Alas, I was not. Despite a triple bogey on the 7th and making par on three of the four par 5's - I managed a -8 in the first round. Ignoring the fact that I almost always do poorly if I play the second round immediately after the first, I went ahead and carded a -1 in a terribly played second round. Hoping I can stave off a demotion mark with my -9. I just played the final two rounds (-7 and -9) for a total of -25. My hopes for the cow are dimming. up mup kupen nup

I played so much better in round two and have absolutely nothing to show for it. Nothing would drop, lip outs, ball stopping inches short, missing by a hairs length, plenty of that but nothing drops. + 1 for the round, even after two.
So it looks like I will be heading into next week with four strikes so you all know the rules as outlined in chapter ten, paragraphs 4, section2.5 of The Korn Ferry handbook “ If the scheduler is in danger of being demoted, all kornholers will tank their rounds until said scheduler is safe. Failure to comply will result in wrath, hellfire and a sad scheduler”.

A fair smattering of birdies cancelled out by my usual collection of garbage holes. Over the first two rounds I think I managed one triple bogey with three chips coming back to my feet, a couple of doubles and few normal ones. Round 1 was -4 and Round 2 was a woeful +1. I will be giving Art Vandelay a good tussle in the Battle for the Basement. -3 at the halfway mark up mup kupen nup

Rounds 3 & 4 were almost the mirror image of the first two. A -1 in R3 cancelled out the +1 in R2 and a final round -4 equalled my first effort. I quite enjoyed the course although it was a bit challenging for my meagre skills. up mup kupen nup

You are not alone with tempo roulette! I had the same..... and lag on #8 and #15 both rounds. This is a beauty of a course, I really like it..... but lighting seemed like playing in smog. Seemed odd. Meh. Missed cut for sure but when do they start giving demo marks? How low? Well done xcltaff1980 & r0nrun!

A consistent showing through all 4 rounds, last two rounds went -7 and -10 to finish -35 for the week. After three straight missed cuts that felt pretty good

Well done! This was a tougher course so anything at -10 or better sure was a fantastic round.
I went ahead and played rounds 3 and 4 and went -10, -6 for a finish of -29. I am actually really happy with that and as of now it looks like those rounds may count! Here is to hoping -13 holds for a few more hours!!!

Screwed up in the second round after a really decent -8 in the first. A 9 on hole one in round two could not be recovered from. -11 after two misses the cut. Next week will be better.
