State of the ToursHope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Just wanted to give a brief state of the tours before we get into our new Fast Track Demotions. We have seen massive growth of members the last couple of months. Our main tours (BCT and TST excluded) are set up as such that we can run comfortably at 2,000 members completing all 4 rounds. Last week we had 2,047 finish all 4 rounds and another 747 registered in Q-School the last two weeks. We're bursting! This has caused some of our flights to be over capacity. Our short term plan is to implement Fast Track Demotions. Our longer term plan will likely consist of adding more flights to the Challenge Circuit to accommodate our growth. So with that said, read on for how Fast Track Demotions will work (ran for first time on week that just finished). Fast Track Demotions - 200th place or worse will now be instantly demoted
- in place for all main tours - PGA, European, Korn Ferry, CC-Pro and CC-Am
Fast Track Demotions will be shown as on our leaderboards Thanks! Doyley

What about sending Q School guys that shoot over par to Z rather than G? Z is pretty light compared to the rest of the Am flights - averaging around 80..

I don't like sending guys straight to CC-Z as new players generally go straight to Q-School when they get the game, shoot poorly then within that next week get much better. Better to do that on CC-G.

But if they shoot poorly the first week in G - and there's 200+ on the board like this week, they'll get FT Demo to Z anyway... IF they start in Z shoot poor, still on Z - but if they improve quickly they can FT Promo up to G.. I guess it depends on how much work it is to keep switching tour cards for people, if it's automatic, then no big deal. I guess also, that the scenario above starting in G, get a FT demo to Z and then next week get a FT demo back up to G - could be confusing for new players until they start to understand how the system works.. Hopefully this won't matter for me as I'm really trying to stay in the top 100 at least on D - but I have noticed a lot more players lately - likely because of the current global situation.. Just thought of the suggestion, but figured you guys had already considered... Thanks for the reply!

Yea, I'm more concerned about those that will shoot very well in CC-Z their first week out of Q-School (happened quite a bit before where a guy straight out of Q-School won CC-Z by 10-15 shots - was the basis for not being able to qualify for CC-Z out of Q-School).
When that happens on CC-G nobody really bats an eye (and very rarely is it by 10 strokes as there is a bit more skill in CC-G).

Looking at the boards, there are going to be a LOT of FT Demos - pending any WD's first..

Does anything happen to people who don't finish? I understand stuff happens and people can't finish but what if people know they're going to finish outside the top 200, so they just don't bother finishing?

So that’s interesting, so if I’m +10 after 3, I’m better off just quitting as oppposed to grinding it out. I think quitting should be an automatic demotion, that would promote better sportsmanship. The bottom of the barrel should only get three marks.

The bottom of the barrel should only get three marks. That's how it was until this week, the change was made to give 200+ on the board fast track demotion. Idea was to hopefully balance out the tours for those that are not competing.. Though on CC-D this week, -18 and below gets demotions..

The bottom of the barrel should only get three marks. All you would be doing at the moment is delaying the inevitable I would have though. With the influx of players a lot of the lower CC have improved scores considerably. This is the Admins way of trying to level it out and make it fun for all. I’d say go with the flow drop a grade and you will find it will even put shorlty.

Just got demoted to CC-Z. I guess I'll have to return to using Pro Clubs.

Last week I tied for 8th, this week I was worse than 200 so the only thing that would save me from an auto demotion is the promo point I got last week. I can play like a pro, then turn around and play like a newb lol

Should also note we bumped up the Fast Track Promotions on CC-Am - will monitor for a few weeks before we ease it back to it's normal values sometime after the Promotion Event.
