The Sioux Nation invites you to a crisp afternoon day of golf in the wilderness of their lands. Keeping in touch with nature, the course uses natural undulations and plantings to display the beauty of the region, even using flowers to indicate 100, 150, 200 and 250 yards out. While this par 71 only tops off at 7290 yards, expect location, especially off the tee, to be the key to your enjoyment. A true test of golf awaits, as low scores can be had, but shots off the mark will punish accordingly. If this course was real it would be very walk-able, so no paths were added. The course routing I particularly like as other than 7 and 8, no two holes go in the same direction. For those wanting different tests, there are four pins and five tees ranging from 6368 yards to 7290. If you do play this course, I suggest keeping the time set to default, unless you like putting with shadows. Enjoy your round in the wilderness. For those that don't know, I've been designing since on this platform since version 1. I am revamping all my courses to clean up all sight lines, redo all the bunkers and drop the multiple brushes for filled splines, et cetera. I've been adding more extraneous objects as well, really striving for fictional but realistic. I don't get a lot of feedback or plays, but what I do receive has been good and is appreciated. I like this course man. Plays really tough from the tips. Sculpting is great and I only have a couple gripes:
-Fairways might be a little too narrow for the course yardage. Sometimes forces driver out of your hand on a par 5, kind of like #11. I know there are 5 tees so this can be easily solved by moving up! -Some squiggly lines in the fairways and rough, usually happens because the splines are a little too far apart. Not a big deal at all, just not sure if you knew why that happened because I've gone crazy trying to figure out why my fairways are wavy.
And my favorite parts: -I already talked about #11, but let me say the sight line off the tee is absolutely beautiful. -Love the variety of shots available to hit and how many holes can play completely different from pin to pin. -Tree planting is great, I haven't seen many people use cedars more than pines, but I love the look it gives!
Nice course! Also, there are 2 design contests going on right now so new publishes can get buried in "completed courses!" Like for me, I am working on a contest course right now, and already have another course completed but I'm waiting to publish it until after the contests are over so it can get more plays. Hope I helped!

Thank you for the feedback, this is great. I'll take into account the narrow fairways and the squiggly line tip is awesome, drove me nuts too! As for 11, if you do play this again, go over the second bunker from the right. If you go left that's ok, the hill should kick you back over (designer tip).
And lastly, good point about the contests. I really just started posting my courses after designing (on this platform anyway) for six years.

Great Sioux Junction has been approved for tour play. Anyone who is running a tour looking for a "tightish", but very fair course I think this fits the bill. Of all the courses I've done this one really seems to be the most rewarding of good shots, but punishing of poor shots, despite it not being that long of a course. I'm happy to answer any questions about the course as well.
