We've had a few threads here for The Show. I'm creating this one for the RTTS mode. I've had a 1B career going since The Show '14. My setup is bat only, no defense and no base running. I play on All -Star level with no assists meaning no guess pitch, no strike zone graphic, no hot zones graphic or any of that stuff on-screen (you'll see in the video below). I have manually played every pitch from every AB in this career. Well over 7,000 at bats. Never simmed any of it. My player is now 36 years old and reaching the end of his career. He is, without a doubt, a first ballot Hall of Famer. Due to IRL stuff over the last year and a half, I really hadn't played this game much, even though I did get The Show '19 when it became a free DL on PS Plus. Up until this past week I think I only played one game in it. But I fired it up and have played some more. I'll most likely finish this RTTS career with The Show '19. Not sure if/when I'll get The Show '20. That's a financial decision lol. When his career ends, I'll post his final numbers here. In the meantime, I just hit career HR #600. Below is the video highlight for "one of the greatest power hitters of all-time!"

Did he not just hit a 6? 600 HRs must be a hell of an achievement as the opposition was giving you the clap! Nice one Jimmy.
Only baseball match I’ve been to was in Philly. No idea what was occurring only that it was a fun day out for the family and I.
Due to an increase in available time recently have looked at the show but not intrigued enough.

Thanks bud. that's awesome that you had fun even though you didn't really know what was going on. I hope my Philly brothers and sisters were nice to you It's been a long haul with this career over several iterations of the game. One of the best things The Show ever did was to make the RTTS careers carry over from one game release to the next. When his career is over and he finally retires, I'll do a write up on his career. Here's a few of his career stats to date: Games Played - 2003 At Bats - 7,641 Runs Scored - 1,465 Hits - 2,608 HRs - 600 RBIs - 1578 Batting Avg - .341The only record I've broken is Ichiro's single season hit record (262 in 2004). In the year 2023 I had 274 hits.

I used to play this years ago, such a great game mode but did not get anywhere close to this far in my career.
I cant imagine a real life scenario where the team that just gave up your milestone would give a standing ovation to you though....

I cant imagine a real life scenario where the team that just gave up your milestone would give a standing ovation to you though.... In 1998, when Mark McGwire hit his 62nd home run, breaking Roger Maris's single-season record, he got cheers, handshakes and hugs from the Cubs players as he rounded the bases. For some additional context, the Cubs' Sammy Sosa was also vying to break Maris's record that season (he ended with 66). McGwire ended with 70. P.S. this record isn't celebrated anymore: it was broken just three years later when Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs in 2001. Still, many people consider Maris as the true record holder, as Bonds, McGwire and Sosa were all implicated in MLB's steroid scandal. A few people still consider Babe Ruth's 60 home runs in 1927 the record because, at that time, the baseball season consisted of 154 games, and Maris's 61 home runs took the entire 162-game slate to accomplish in 1961. When Maris's record was added to the record book in the Baseball Hall of Fame, an asterisk was placed next to the number 61.

I cant imagine a real life scenario where the team that just gave up your milestone would give a standing ovation to you though.... Zdeno Chara played his 1500th career NHL game in Montreal and the fans gave him a standing ovation. They've booed Chara pretty much every time he's touched the puck since he joined the Bruins in 2006. They called the police to have Chara arrested after he checked a Canadiens player into the boards during a game. The Bruins-Canadiens rivalry is almost 100 years old and is the most bitter on in the league. If Montreal fans were willing to give Chara a standing-o then I don't think there is any other real life ovation scenario that I'd be shocked to see happen.

Sportsmanship and respect for great efforts is a real thing. The one minute mark, Blue Jays shaking Jeter's hand.
Six minute mark, Red Sox fans giving Jeter a standing O.

Can a RTTS career be resumed from a game more than one iteration prior? I have two RTTS players from The Show '17. Can those be moved to the new game or do I need to go through '18 and '19 first?

That's a great question. I don't know to be honest but I don't think so. When I log into the game and go to RTTS, the only option for any carry over is "Continue from 2018 or to load from the cloud from '18 and/or '19

It's only possible to do it from one version to the next. I remember they mentioned it when the feature was first added.
