No worries Mike, 1 in 3 will probably play like Elmview. I played 3 holes on virtually all the courses I picked, but I wasn’t going to do full rounds on 55 courses. I was looking for courses with yellow and red slopes on the greens. The RCR’s should play to everyones liking. Fuezy point, the low course at st bedes and Makoona dunes should be easier than Elmview as well. I don't mean to be whinging here Chrash, and it is not a matter of hard - I can play hard; it is a matter of "if you hit the correct shot you should be rewarded". This tour is already difficult since one is hitting long irons into most of the holes, and in general the greens were not intended for that at 187 and v. firm. It takes a lot of the fun out of it when you know it is mostly random where you will wind up, and with beginners clubs you can't even blame a bad swing lol. I have had my say and will not complain again, but I may not stay with it either if too many of the courses are like this one.

Merion East results
1. -24 Tim Russell 2. -19 John Yates 3. -17 Rob Dallas 4. -16 gringogazer 5. -13 Mike Ricks 6. -12 Chris Bird 7. -10 teewreckso 8. -9 Dan Waring 9. -9 totti 10. -8 Lessangster 11. -7 MLMaxx 12. -1 noisyatnight 13. +5 heedgolfer 14. +8 calvia111
Maybe i’ll do 25 points for the win and go down from there, incase we ever get 25 players in an event.

You are a sick man Chris.... Elmview was a tough test. If I hadn't made about half a dozen 20-footers for par, I would have been in big trouble. Enjoying this very much. I agree with some of the sentiments that these courses aren't necessarily created with VeryFast in mind, but it makes it all the more rewarding to me if I can make a birdie.

I checked before coming in to work and totti was -6 after 9 holes in R1 according to the society page, he hadn't finished both rounds yet. Gringo posted that he had forgot to change from master clubs before starting so DQ'd himself after the 1st hole as he couldn't change them. Not sure why HB never implemented society presidents being able to select which clubs could be used the same as you can with using shot preview or not. Be interesting to see the scores for Firethorn next week.

-5 R1 with 2 bogies. 1st was from a flubbed chip that rolled back to my feet and the other was a 3 putt on 18. That was fun and the type of course I had in mind when making the tour. Will finish up tonight.
Totti was -10 in his R1, very impressive.

My right thumb stick, due to wear and tear, now produces more leverage (speed!) and I have to watch out for fast downswings. It's a bit weird, as my controller now has me producing exaggerated tempo AND swing lines. I always thought controllers got LESS sensitive over time, not more! Anyways, that's my preemptive excuse ahead of time lol! Master clubs would be an issue, but with Beginners, I suppose it's more like playing on an Xbox . At least I have the potential for fast downs and can try to incorporate that into my play! Gotta think positive right. I'll try and play Elmview CC and post my scores later tonight. Wish me luck and cheers.

Finished Elmview GC with -15 (-8/-7), with a bogey in each round. Lets see, I had 75% fairway, but only 58% gir - those damn green contours were brutal, especially if you had a weird chip range!!!!! Gonna have to work on my slow tempo lw flops if more courses like this pop up.

Hope you like Meatloaf as 2 out of 3 shouldn’t be bad There will be some with slopes like that, but not as extreme around the cups. Majors will be hard. This weekends event should play more like merion, i blasted through 8 holes of r1 yesterday and the yellow wasnt extreme.

Figured you was stuck behind Jim Furyk, Bryson DeChambeaux and Paddy Harrington as it hadnt updated you from the 4th hole in r2 an hour later Firethorn might need some accurate chipping/flopping as well as conservatory club coming up. My course Twin State will be tough, but its fairly flat around most holes, just yellow and red to navigate other parts of the greens.

Here’s the final ps4 leaderboard for Elmview. Will update final scores when I verify the other platforms. I was -3 after 6 holes in r2 and figured I could catch Tim, but then had 3 straight bogies. Birdied the last to get under par. Think that will be my goal, just try to shoot under par every round even if its only -1

certainly friendlier than elmview, but still a heck of a lot of pins on top of domes. I can't say I am enjoying this much, too many presumably good shots go unrewarded. A nice course overall though.

;D So true! With the roommates kids, work (some online right now), my daughters homework help, and my own meticulous need to math/try new formula's while putting, I'm lucky if I finish a SINGLE round in under 1.5 hours lol. Anyways, lot's of stop and go at the moment. Haven't had a chance to play anything straight through w/out interruptions (not even close!).
