The problem we might have is random people playing in the society with other clubs. I suppose we can't do anything about that. Yeah. What I did was load up the 3 best scores and watched their shots until the 2nd hole par 5, all 3 drives were within 5 yards of mine so must have been on beginner clubs too. Took them off after that.

Hey Chrash, I am not sure; do you want us to enter scores on the Googledrive link as well as post them here?

@crashbird Event 2 scores I’m actually embarrassed to post this just shows not everyone can use beginner clubs especially on very firm very fast greens.

Thats not bad scoring Les, some of the courses will be par is a good score. Just for perspective this course was used in the original season on TGC1 and the cut line was -5 with the best players from the PGA and Euro at the time. Just have to remove the minset of shooting -15 every round, par will not feel like bogey.

First of all, let me say that I appreciate what @chrashbird is trying to do with these tournaments. It is a good concept. I think however that some courses are just not playable at VFX3 conditions and Elmwood is one of those. I do not mind hard and I do not expect to score well on all the tournaments, but I do want to enjoy myself, and that was not possible for me at Elmwood. I will finish the tourney, but I would hope you or someone would at least Ranger some of these courses, maybe the front nine, just to see if they are playable under VFx3 conditions; if not, choose another. Just my opinion, but if I don't enjoy playing I won't play.

That felt more difficult than Merion but i scored better. The thing you have to watch out for most here is how your ball rolls out on the fairway. I found myself going into the rough a number of times. The greens are also tough with no putt being easy unless you are within 3ft. I had a bogey in each round. The course certainly brought back memories from the first U.S. Open. I remember scoring -16 over 4 rounds here when i played that event. Please Daniel, I don't need you to tell me how to play. I agree with the fairway issue, I was mainly talking about the greens. I am sure we are both influenced by how we played here and on Merion, so I will say no more. I wound up quitting round two after one too many roll-offs on the green. I will probably play a couple more of these, but if it not any fun I will move on.

No worries Mike, 1 in 3 will probably play like Elmview. I played 3 holes on virtually all the courses I picked, but I wasn’t going to do full rounds on 55 courses. I was looking for courses with yellow and red slopes on the greens. The RCR’s should play to everyones liking. Fuezy point, the low course at st bedes and Makoona dunes should be easier than Elmview as well.
