Hello, I use a logitech dual action controller on pc. and I have only played with a little bit of the designer but want to do more. What I have noticed is that while using my controller I'll still need to use my mouse for some things. Some of the issues include the D-pad, up and down control the pitch of the camera and right zooms in, to zoom out I need to press down on the right stick. Also to pick a brush I can't use my controller need to select it with the mouse (also cannot switch pages on brushes etc). Then when I have something selected I cannot scale it or rotate it cause it will just move my camera around.
Not sure what to do or if anyone else has had an issue like this. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know if this is a real issue, if we miss something or if is just normal, but for me is the same on my pc (PS4 controller). And it was absolutely terrible at the very start, a true nightmare, but slowly i'm going to manage it. Anyway, in this first experience with the editor, i'm noticing that there are a lot of stupid limits, little but annoying problems and a pair of huge issues, especially if you want to obtain exactly what you have in mind sometimes. But with some patience and compromize you can deal with it, i think. Or, at least, i'm trying. Good luck for your work.

I use a wired PS4 controller on my PC for Lidar designing. When it works correctly, all the functions of the controller work as they should (although the screen always shows me the Xbox controller equivalent buttons). Sometimes however The controller won't work, it's like Steam didn't initialize properly, and I have to back out of the game and restart Steam. When the game itself is starting, if you do not see a little "Config Loaded: Gamepad with Camera controls" down in the lower right corner your controller will not work.

Thanks Just saw this question, but I'm 99% sure there is an option that controls this. When in designer I think you go to options, controls, and you can select controller/mouse/etc This may be a fever dream and if it is, I'm sorry. Will check into it later today when I'm home.

Yes, check your designer options within your settings. There is a different default control setting for gameplay and for the designer.

sudzzz ezzinomilongaWhen in the designer, go to the options menu. Then choose settings. Then choose course designer. Then under default controller, select gamepad. Should help a lot!

Thank you guys i already did it tonight. The only issue now is that, after more than 3 weeks using the mouse to move the camera, i will need time to lose my bad habit, cause i'm super slow with the controller.
