Well, I think I've made my decision... I played the last 2 rounds of the Euro event and tried as hard as I could to get my line "straight". Some were within the cone and way more than a bunch were still out of it. I'm sure Doyley can confirm this. For me, personally, it's more trouble than it's worth to try and fix it. I'm not going to cram hours and hours of "practice" into the game just to try and "hit the ball straight". I hardly even play this game because it is TERRIBLE on a lot of levels. Again, this is my personal opinion. I know that in real life I play a pulled draw on EVERY shot. I play for it. Again, I know this is a video game and HB dicked up the mechanics. That's not on me. I promise I never knew it was an exploit and I can assure you all that I never felt that I was playing the game "unfairly" by "gaining an advantage" from my shitty swing. I'm sure that a bunch of y'all have already discredited my ability to play this game and that's fine. I'm ready for a new game and a PS5 and HOPE that they don't mess it up as bad as this one. In summation, all I can offer is this... I will continue to play the game the way that I have since it came out. The same way I played the 2 games before this one. I will patiently await my scores to get pulled when they do and then fadgewacker can add me to the list that's contained in his amazing memory. I can't wait to see what he has to say. I'm sorry to let you all down, but I can't be bothered with it. I play for fun and that's it. Nothing more. #tldr I’m with you on what your saying I could quite conceivably be banned for a feedback line like this even though I do it once in a blue moon and I’m trying to swing straight. Which tour do you play on Les? If it’s not PGA, it won’t be a problem I should t have thought.

Doyley - are you completely discounting the option of policing this on PGA now, just because a bunch of people have thrown their toys out of the pram, or is the Wild West / beginners vote some kind of sick joke? I’m sort of disappointed by some of the elements of how this thread has developed overnight, but I’ll pick those up privately, and directly outside of this sh%$ show. Is there a way to structure a vote that ONLY involves PGA members? Titan summed the other thread up very well 😂

OK, so someone let me know if I got this wrong - but I believe we've whittled it down to 1. Wild Wild West 2. Beginner Clubs only I'll have a poll out in the morning
ps...lots of catching up for me to do in the other thread after being away all day at my son's competition
I vote beginner clubs, though my vote doesn’t count. Come on down to BCT where all systems are equal and you can’t reach par 5s in 2! We could use some more folks on the leaderboard. I'm kinda kidding because I know this won’t ever happen, but I’ve really enjoyed BCT as a close resemblance to TGC1. I was a former PGA player who couldn’t make the tempo swing work on Xbox for this game and quit playing for 6 months until I found the BCT option. Good luck with all this mess. I didn’t read it all but decided to come check it out after a few folks joined BCT this week. I handed in my PGA card for a BCT one earlier in the week. Decided to play R1 & 2 of this weeks event and got it to -20 after those rounds so should be fairly competitive. I ended up playing clv's Magnolia and my Twin State Championship in medium winds, both were a good fun challenge with beginner clubs. Hey SweetTeeBag you up for a round at last years US Open course at Susquehannock?

I’m with you on what your saying I could quite conceivably be banned for a feedback line like this even though I do it once in a blue moon and I’m trying to swing straight. Which tour do you play on Les? If it’s not PGA, it won’t be a problem I should t have thought. Fadge I’m only a CC-B player can’t see me ever making it back to PGA my point is the flick swing and push swing are universal across the tours but they’re talking about only policing it on PGA in the interests of fair play it should be done across the board. If someone from the CC tours plays in a promo tournament and ends upon on the PGA with a good result he’s probably going to have to relearn his swing again especially if he’s used either of the two methods to get their and because it’s not policed no one has noticed.

If someone from the CC tours plays in a promo tournament and ends upon on the PGA with a good result he’s probably going to have to relearn his swing again especially if he’s used either of the two methods to get their and because it’s not policed no one has noticed. -Flick swing (this is the already policed API method) isn't restricted to PGA only policing as far as I know. Note that the current API doesn't look for the flick swing, it is just that the flick swing has a much higher chance of getting the "too many swings clustered in the same area" than a regular swing. Controllers, for a variety of reasons can also fall into the "too perfect to be human" current API that looks for too straight and/or too many results in the same area of the chart.
-The proposed push/pull swing API method was a big concern to Doyley as referenced earlier in this thread because those that have poor swings and are just trying to scrape by and are doing nothing wrong at all could also be caught up in this newly proposed API that looks at the extreme left or extreme right of the API charts. This is why the CC was excluded pretty early in his research. Others proposed to make it well documented that the PGA has the most rigorous API testing because it has the additional push/pull test.
