Lots of us did this due to swinging a certain way, for a long time... It's not a new thing for many on tour, but, it goes away over time. Sorry but for me there's absolutly no pleasure playing like that Maybe i will thinking of get back playing on xb1 and fighting to make the cut. Because i was so far from all this bullshit.
Even Xbox tempo issues are less frustated than reading all these complains and theories.
Well Said Nick.

I guess my videos don't warrant a response. Meh. I posted them for all to see. Let's not forget the math we must do and roll we must account for. Don't forget the wind either. I'm over it to be quite honest. I suppose I'll play until I'm pulled. I still say my my pull is of varying degrees on all full swings. Still waiting for someone to tell me how far they miss when swinging straight. #birdbox I took notice of the time when you made the change, I believe it was shortly after Bassman70 posted his change. I didn’t think you were cheating for gaming the system. I just thought you found something that worked for you. But then I noticed more and more of this so I asked HB about it. They said it was behaving normal but after some testing I found there was something funky with it. You were in my competition range on leaderboard for most of last season barely making cuts and finishing in the 40s then you took a massive jump. Why do you think that is? You use it fine, but I also think you are exaggerating how bad your straight line is. Maybe I’m wrong.

Wow this debate just goes on and on there's no getting away from it.
I dunno how everyone feels moving forward but the way I see it is this,
I'm fine with going for straight shots (provided my controller remains fault free) and I'm fine taking on a push. In fact I don't think it's going to make a great deal of difference whether I do one thing or another when I'm not fully lofting my shots. Perhaps I am just lucky but I can only speak for myself here. On the other hand you better believe it now, If/When I attempt a fully lofted shot I'll be undoubtedly subconsciously aware if no effort is made to slightly fall one side or the other, I'm reliant on yet another seemingly random outcome in the game to contend with.
This very point alone would lead me to question the morality of a decision to police what I would call either a simple common sense approach to performing a shot now that this is all public knowledge, or an impossible method to determine a persons motive without wearing lie detector kits.
Obviously, if we are talking about policing the blatant swings every single time, this is a different matter where I can only assume an API could potentially 'save' this game, or it can make everything worse than it already is by punishing people that just play differently.

So just some facts on Daxon's performances (just the facts, mam): 2019 season (36 events): Wins: 0 Seconds: 0 Top5: 1 Top10: 4 Top25: 14 2020 season (26 events): Wins: 2 Seconds: 4 Top5: 13 Top10: 17 Top25: 22 So 1 in 9 events Top10 to 6 in 9 events.

I still say my my pull is of varying degrees on all full swings. Brief watch - but I agree. It's a straightish line that clearly favours the left of the blue area but doesn't venture that far outside of it.
The people "doing the bad thing" are hitting deliberately crooked lines way outside the blue area safe in the knowledge the dispersion out there is far less.
Can see why people who don't "hit it straight" are concerned, but I'd be seriously surprised if your API graph looked anything like those who are using the "exploit". To my uneducated eye the two are totally different things.
From what I can tell the wonky stuff happens just outside the "cone" and beyond. Don't want to make people paranoid but the graphs of those that will be affected are very easy to spot - everyone here has seen us post graphs of what is deemed normal. The guys that are going to have to change have most if not all of their shots beyond what we chart - so their far left or right bar is all (or 90+ %) that is shown.
I spent months looking at those charts wondering how guys that had such poor swings could shoot so well. Funny story - I had a buddy I got into the game - he had charts that were similar to what we're looking to police now. He shot decently for someone who just got the game. I asked how he was scoring rounds in the low 60's with that swing and he just said he plays for his pull. This was last summer. I even went to his house and watched him do it - and it's literally what we're going through now. So I know the guys that say that it's their natural swing aren't lying - I've witnessed it. Granted he wasn't paying much attention or concentrating much at all during his swings so I would assume he could have straightened it out if needed - but he never saw the reason to since he was shooting well with what he was doing. I never put 2 & 2 together until this past week or so that he was literally showing me this in person and I just wasn't understanding it. For reference - here is a chart from someone in the PGA this week that shot a sub-60 round - pretty much all the guys playing the push/pull method exclusively have charts similar to this. Our goal is to make the majority of their shots appear on the chart - so they'll have to straighten it out.

I remember being sh%$ at the game.
I still am as far as I'm concerned becayse I can't hit lasers like the straight guys.
I remember trying really hard to hit the ball straight when it came out. I fought it and fought it.
I had no idea how y'all were hitting these missiles.
I gave up and played my ugly, shitty swing and learned to play for it.
I used to click for wind.
Not now.
I was always sh%$ and missing cuts and raging because I literally could NOT hit one straight.
I decided that I'm going to play my "normal" swing.
Oops.
I play it all the time.
Every shot.
I still have no idea how far I need to actually aim right because I don't use the circle.
I go with what looks good to my eye and play fast. Sometimes.
We can bicker and b%& all day, but I'm not sure why I'm in question when there are MANY others with worse swings than me.
Meh.
I'll be the scapegoat.
I can dig it.
Is what it is.
I have BL3 and RDR2 I can play.
I can use that 25 a month I give here to buy more cigs.
😍😍

Or you could request Doyley to post your API chart Dax - if it's a normal (but mostly slightly left) chart - then you have nothing to worry about at all?
EDIT: And after searching this thread for your most recent video - I'd say you are fine.

I've actually never seen one of these charts. Is this "cone" that everyone talks about the channel? I'm serious when I say I know literally zilch about the API other than the fact that it pulls people. I have no idea what data the charts collect from the swing so I don't know what aspect of the swing needs to change. Does it have to be straighter in general? Does it have to be where it finishes? Can the chart tell me what the data looked like for a specific swing so that if I recorded myself I could be like...oh, that one needs to be fixed?

Best suggestion for fixing a crooked swing is to have the very end of it in the cone. If you can do that more often than not you'll be fine. The guys that have the last quarter of the swing line outside of the cone/blue swing channel (used to be a cone in previous games) every shot will have to work on correcting that.

Who knows where you or I would stand in an equal and fair leaderboard? I didn’t get worse at this game, I score about the same as I always did. But so many got really good really fast.

Quick side note regarding a ticket I submitted for something this week and just realized Jeff's response was in my Junk folder - was waiting for that before posting...
I'll be getting a WD from the event, but not for the API-DQ reason (back off fadgewacker, don't you dare put me on that list lol). I was putting out on 18 in round 4, right when the ball went in the hole my game began trying to find a connection, which it didn't and subsequently kicked me offline. Upon reconnecting, I was put onto the 1st tee in round 1...awesome, I know. Strangely Jeff says he sees zero round data from me, but when I go to the TGCT.com leaderboard, I can see my first 3 round scores posted, but not round 4 since I had that disconnect-while-finishing-out thing. It's happened to me a time or two before I think, just been a while, and yes it's frustrating but no big deal. Felt like I'd played pretty well for the first 3 rounds given my form of late, -37 through 3, but tossed it away in round 4 with something like a -8, so it's not like I'd have been competitive anyway.
Just wanted to clarify my WD before it appeared to be something it wasn't
Carry on with the regularly scheduled discussion, cheers.

I'm not talking about the inside 10ers y'all think I get because I "get an advantage". I'm talking putts from 15-30 feet and even longer than that. Yes, believe it or not, I do have to still make putts. 😏😏
