I don’t have a sense of humour, so most sitcoms I don’t find funny at all and will usually make it through an entire episode without laughing once. I can only think of three exceptions that stand out. There’s Company, Mr. Bean, and Spaced. Golden Girls has enough moments that I’d be willing to add it to make an even 4. We sound kinda similar...I can’t get to 10 either. It’s rare for me to actually laugh at a sitcom, or even 99% of comedy movies for that matter. The Larry David type of humor suits me, but even then it’s not like I’m laughing every episode. My sense of humor is definitely different, Ill get more laughs watching a show like Breaking Bad than I ever would watching something like say, The Office. I will be stonefaced. With movies, you could put on something like The Hangover and I won’t laugh a single time. Put on a non comedy like Slingblade though, and I’m laughing all throughout! Speaking of Mr Bean, I do like the Christmas one...very funny. I’ve seen that a few times, haven’t really watched him too much aside from that though. I think for me at least it's just that scripted comedy feels just like that. Someone reading a joke they or someone else wrote with the intention for it to be funny and often feels forced. When you add humour to a non comedy it just feels so much more organic and natural and comes across better for me, even if it was still totally scripted.

I’ve never really been able to explain it, other than saying I don’t like the obvious (forced) brand of humor and prefer the more subtle type. I think that kinda fits with what you’re saying. Hell I laugh more watching Kings of Pain, which is a show with two guys who get bit/stung by all sorts of things, than I do sitcoms lol.

In random order here are my favorites: Cheers Seinfeld MASH The Simpsons (after season 6 it went downhill fast) 30 Rock Curb your Enthusiasm I Love Lucy The Office The Goldbergs I dunno. Seasons 7 and 8 of The Simpsons are both filled with plenty of classic episodes and season 9 is still fairly solid for the most part despite having the stink of the "real" Seymour Skinner episode on it. I view that specific episode as the start of the downhill slide.

When I think of what makes a great comedy/sitcom to me - this is my opinion - how often have I rewatched the series and still enjoy going back to restart even though I know the gist of every episode.
Family Guy Cheers I Love Lucy The Andy Griffith Show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Seinfeld King of Queens Fawlty Towers My Name is Earl

Rising Damp, featuring the genius that was Leonard Rossiter, and a great supporting cast including the wonderful Richard Beckinsale, who tragically died aged only 31. Yes, to anyone wondering, his daughter is Kate Beckinsale.

Sitcoms aren't really my thing but I did enjoy the Big Bang Theory just cause I like nerd humor and didn't see anyone mention it here yet

And watch them over and over if I like then. But I also laugh my ass off and quote Slingblade all the time. I like you.

Great response so far fellas! I am a bit surprised that Gilligan's island and Leave it to Beaver have not had better reception though.

Northern Exposure was my favorite tv show. Not a sitcom but just wanted to give it some hype.
