Let's begin a discussion on our favorite sitcoms of all time. It can be from any decade etc. Here are my top 10 in order of favorite to 10th favorite. All of these are shows that I frequently watch and or quote references from on the regular.
1. Seinfeld- by far my all time favorite show, although the story lines can be bizarre, the writing acting and comedy is so top notch. 2. Curb Your Enthusiasm- I love this show and for those who are unaware, the main character in this series Larry David was a primary contributer to Seinfeld. 3. Andy Griffith show- kicking it old school here but this show is synonymous with television mastery. 4. Hogan's heroes- 5. Dick Van Dyke show- although a bit corny, this show was brilliantly acted by MTM and DVD. Morey Amsterdam was truly the x-factor of this show and without him this show would not be as successful. 6. Frasier- 7. Everybody Loves Raymond- going on the record to say Frank Barone played by Peter Boyle is bar none the best sitcom character of all time. His oneliners were so pure and his timing was impeccable. Without him the show was mediocre at best. 8. King of Queens- Doug Heffernan was hilarious, Arthur Spooner played by Jerry Stiller created a great dynamic with both Doug and Carrie and then Doug's friends Spencer and deacon were vastly underrated in their roles. If not for Frank Barone, this show would rank ahead of Everybody Loves Raymond. 9. The Office- United States version, this is where I discovered that's what she said and now I use it so often it's unhealthy lol. 10. Parks and Rec- Ron Swanson is the sitcom version of Chuck Norris otherwise the show is just ok.

Senfield was a masterpiece.
Also, Andy Griffin and Frasier are no brainers. Newhart was another one.
Other honorable mentions for me are Gilligans Island, WKRP in Cincinnati, and Happy Days.

Wkrp for sure. Still watch episodes with a digital antenna on retro tv. As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

Oh I can't believe I forgot about the Beverly Hillibillies and Good Times!!
loved both of those!
Also, thinking of more that I loved to watch- The Jeffersons, and I 'think' it qualifies as a comedy, not sure, but if it does, The Dukes of Hazzard would be up there in my top ten.

Seinfeld and Andy Griffith would definitely be my top 2...although I’d put an asterisk to only count the black and white episodes of Andy. I also don’t really care for the first however many episodes where Andy had more of this goofball type personality. Goofball probably isn’t the right word, but I think anyone who knows the show would know what I’m talking about. His character was definitely portrayed differently in the very early episodes.
Never been much of a sitcom guy as there aren’t many that I actually find funny. Frasier, Curb, and King of Queens I’d include. I’ve seen some of the show Schitts Creek and find it by far the best of anything that’s come out in a very long time. I’d recommend that for sure. It gets really difficult after that. I don’t think I could even come up with 10 that I even liked!

I don’t have a sense of humour, so most sitcoms I don’t find funny at all and will usually make it through an entire episode without laughing once.
I can only think of three exceptions that stand out. There’s Company, Mr. Bean, and Spaced. Golden Girls has enough moments that I’d be willing to add it to make an even 4.

We sound kinda similar...I can’t get to 10 either. It’s rare for me to actually laugh at a sitcom, or even 99% of comedy movies for that matter. The Larry David type of humor suits me, but even then it’s not like I’m laughing every episode. My sense of humor is definitely different, Ill get more laughs watching a show like Breaking Bad than I ever would watching something like say, The Office. I will be stonefaced. With movies, you could put on something like The Hangover and I won’t laugh a single time. Put on a non comedy like Slingblade though, and I’m laughing all throughout! Speaking of Mr Bean, I do like the Christmas one...very funny. I’ve seen that a few times, haven’t really watched him too much aside from that though.
