We sound kinda similar...I can’t get to 10 either. It’s rare for me to actually laugh at a sitcom, or even 99% of comedy movies for that matter. The Larry David type of humor suits me, but even then it’s not like I’m laughing every episode. My sense of humor is definitely different, Ill get more laughs watching a show like Breaking Bad than I ever would watching something like say, The Office. I will be stonefaced. With movies, you could put on something like The Hangover and I won’t laugh a single time. Put on a non comedy like Slingblade though, and I’m laughing all throughout! Speaking of Mr Bean, I do like the Christmas one...very funny. I’ve seen that a few times, haven’t really watched him too much aside from that though. Love sitcoms, i'll give any of them a chance. And watch them over and over if I like then. But I also laugh my ass off and quote Slingblade all the time. I like you. Lol nice!! Honestly it’s one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen, hell maybe even #1. I first watched it years ago with my dad and we were both dying. Between Karl and Doyle it’s just non stop quotes and funny moments. I think Doyle is actually my favorite. I think my favorite part is when Doyle blows up and pushes the wheelchair guy into the door. Only this movie would that be hilarious! His few interactions with Vaughn are great too. |

Has anyone watched the Brooks was here? It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. There are so many dramatic and kind scenes in this movie. I'm 27 but I cried like a girl when I watched this movie. My wife and I are huge fans of movies. I found a great streaming site recently, and I always watch my favorite movies only on that site. And I watch them for free and without any annoying subscription like on other sites. I'm fed up with all these irritating subscriptions and sharing your personal data and accepting cookies. So, I was looking for a long time for a good site for watching movies and I suddenly found it. Has anyone watched the Brooks was here? |

Ten is a pretty tough call, having watched literally hundreds in my 62 years.
I'm partial to ones with a character that offers up absurdity & non-sequiturs. Funny how it's evolved from Maynard G Krebs through Reverend Jim & Woody until shows like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are basically fully populated by those types.
I didn't see Barney Miller getting much mention, great ensemble. The pot brownie episode is a classic.

Rising Damp, featuring the genius that was Leonard Rossiter, and a great supporting cast including the wonderful Richard Beckinsale, who tragically died aged only 31. Yes, to anyone wondering, his daughter is Kate Beckinsale. Fawlty Towers, The Office ( British ) Cheers, Frazier, Seinfeld ( terribly treated by TV schedulers in UK ) early Simpsons before it turned into the horror it is now. I've probably forgotten one or two. |
