It is fully understandable that any time you make what you think is a good shot and it doesn't go as you planned you are a bit upset. Sometimes you misread the slope or didn't account for the wind as much as you should. These are player mistakes and practice can overcome it. Ball squirt has nothing to do with the skill of the player. I have tested extensively with angle snapping on so my fore and back swing are 100% perfect and this 'squirt' happens. When there is nothing you have done and nothing you can do and ball squirt happens, it can be infuriating, especially when the result is a 40 foot putt instead of a 4 foot putt. All that being said, if it is across all platforms and it is something that every person has to deal with, then it is just a feature that we have to get used to and accept in a game that we pretty much all love to play. I can accept this. I appreciate the efforts of people like Steve, who like me put many hours trying to figure out what exactly was causing this. We put this time in because 1. we love the game and 2. HBS has offered ZERO explanation or help on the issue. Steve has proposed that because in their own closed system studios they can't recreate it, they automatically believe it has to do with something outside their systems/servers. This is fair enough and if in the end it has to do with latency, loss packets, data transfer or whatever, then those people with better computers, better internet speeds, better firewalls, ect... are going to be effected less and there is NOTHING that Tim, Doyley or anyone else can do about this to make it 'fair' for everyone. In the end I will just accept that some shots are going to have funky things happening and like real golf I'm going to have to adapt, adjust and probably make a longer putt. I will say there have been the odd occasion that ball squirt has helped me, so luck goes both ways. I just wonder how many out there actually believe #2. about HB studios being tone deaf to this issue. Do you really believe that this development studio is not savvy enough to look into the issue beyond their so called studio bubble? I just have a hard time wrapping my head around that one when HB Studios has always been pretty receptive to issues with what started out and I still believe to be a labor of love. I do however get the gist of your post and que sera sera. I also wonder how accurate an indicator of true in game physics wind speed the wind speed indicator gives. Is the wind model so intricate that it calculates wind gusts and die offs or cross wind gusts and they are not well represented by the wind meter. Whatever it is. I'm glad it does not affect me as much as others from every aspect of the equation including my unwillingness to let it spoil my experience.

No need to be scared, many people have posted an opposing position without calling other people liars and stupid. Tim included, he has been clear from the get go his position. You and everyone should be free to express any opinion you wish and if you can do so without insinuating the other side is lying and/or stupid all the better. Personally I welcome such.
Edit: I just seen Tim called us Nuts in another thread. I know I'm nuts so will not take offense, but I would say, I believe anyone can make an opposing position without need for insulting remarks.
That's awesome.

Well when they steadfastly to respond to posts/mails/inquiries about the subject for months and then when they finally do they blame it on non-leveled tee boxes. One would think that if it was intended, they would simply say, "working as intended" If it is a bug, they would put it on their long list of eventual fixes. They have done neither.

I'm going to be off for a while I think, so to my fellow brainiacs, and to the consoles, the game uses tcp port 443. Please brainy ones in my absence help the consoles. I know it's a big one, but it is what it is, don't shoot the messenger.

I know it's a big one, but it is what it is, don't shoot the messenger. I'm pretty certain there was an improvement when I tried your suggestion, so thanks for doing that. ya same here, i strongly feel it helps out a bunch. played q-school again for the sake of a good challenge, finished with a -51 total: -8 at yeti's course in 15-23 mph winds (still a good score in those conditions) -10 at the river in very calm winds,...not a good score at all on this course imo, i just could not get my putter going. -8 @ the copper creak, we all know thats a good score -10 @ son gual, again, another good score -5 @ kodiak, i could have done a little better, but not much -10 @ crawford, i think this is a decent score here. I had zero ball squirts off a tee box that i can distinctively say were indeed ball squirts, I did however have one shot from the fairway that may have been one, but I really did not check my ball lie as good as I should have, I was in a shadow and really could not tell as well. I had one water ball, on whispering river, but it was not ball squirt, it was my memory failing me as I thought with some tail wind i could clear an area on this one hole.
