staypuft39 - think we need to iron out some ground rules here.
Say I miss the cut but beat you overall after 4 rounds - you still get the win right? I have no reason to play the final two rounds unless it means beating you - so if you want to go w/ final 4 round score as the be-all-end-all I'm good with that too. Otherwise, 2-1 you!

Ha ha, no I definitely need to be able to relax the odd time I make the cut (and more importantly quit when I don't) so finishing position on the TGCT leaderboard is the decider. Hoping I can ditch another strike or two in Feb to keep this going through the majors.

I haven't had this many weird rolls in many, many weeks. As usual some were very lucky, most weren't. Overall I played pretty well but probably will miss the cut due to my putting. In practice it was dialed in but in the round, I edged 4-5 putt in round one which with the tougher conditions of round two, probably will keep me from killing a strike. Hopefully I did well enough not to add a 3rd.

Sorry you didn’t have a good time. I’ll try to work these things for three over the next three months on my next course. Yea that OB is TERRIBLE and I apologize. Would want to leave you with a question however (just to help myself with my next design), how should I provide a challenge? Sorry again. I like the course a lot. Looks fantastic. My idea is pins very difficult to put within 10 feet, but also having a "safe" area to at least hold the green and have a putt not having to go up 3 feet... Example, the long par 3 in I think rd 4. It's on the back 9. There is no way to hold the green if you go at the pin. There is no safe area to have a 40 foot putt. I had a putt yesterday that was about 40 feet away but I had to hit it 110 feet to reach the hole. Missing left put you down a fairway 20 feet below the green, and missing short put you on a wall. Running off, fine. Short and being on a wall, fine. I think the only option here is hope you hit close to the top of the rough so it stops the ball rolling out. That's more of a trick shot with no room for error. And that's the only option to even have a chance at birdie. Btw, I dont think your course in particular is getting people upset, I think it's that we've played so many wild courses since this game came out. That has to be 17.... which has been affectionately called the dickpunch hole.

Btw, I dont think your course in particular is getting people upset, I think it's that we've played so many wild courses since this game came out. My main beef is that we play too many course cut into cliffsides (If TGCT was a country we'd have run out of coastline 18 months ago) or with table top greens that reject anything but the perfect shot. So unless you're near to perfectly accurate, you're constantly flirting with disaster.
Like you say, the schedulers can only schedule what the designers design. And total fantasy (way beyond being simply fictional) seems to be on trend.
The first time i played this i just thought it was ludicrous. I then entered the thread and all i saw was plaudits for the design work. That's fine, and like you say, it looks great. But whether the course has any basis in reality whatsoever doesn't seem to be a metric that courses are ever judged by...
Lol that coastline comment did make me laugh a bit and not as a shot at anyone. I think the community has been washed into at this point thinking every golf course has to be based in an absolutely spectacular setting to be noticed and it’s unfortunate. That’s why I get excited and make sure to give some feedback recently when I see a very realistic looking course in new completed courses that looks great. But with how many phenomenal courses we get, it makes sense that people are drawn to the ones that look like they might wow them. It’s even happened to me. I published Oconee and it randomly got over 2,000 plays without a big society host probably just because it looked crazy weaving around a massive lake on every single hole. But it was a di**punch of a course throughout. Then I published Dunwoody which is a simple setting and by far a better golf course in every way but it barely got 100 plays. So it’s hard to blame anyone who goes with the spectacular setting route.

#freeDylan If you think this course is impossible or unfair, you don't understand strategy. If you think "hanging lies" is "unfair", you've never played a round of golf outdoors. Also, trust the schedulers. They know the quality and difficulty of courses in this game like the backs of their hands. Maybe they shouldn't toy with the lighting but still, they give you great courses and do a largely thankless job. Can't wait for the Real Housewives of the TGCT PGA Tour to rip me to shreds Wk 29

Finished at -53. I missed two short putts and with Dale's score sitting at -54 through 17 on the last...I don't think It's in the stars for me this week. I saved a replay of a hole in one I had in the second round though and will upload in the next few days (: Good luck to anyone who hasn't finished yet...

Finished up with a -8 in Round 3 then a -1 in Round 4.
Went for the driveable Par 4 in the final round and 3rd time was the charm although I carded a snowman to do it.

Sources tell me a course of mine is hosting the Corales (alternate event for WGC-Dell) I am aware it isn't *officially* pencilled in but yeah

Had a huge fit of rage and a bad bounce on 18 followed by another bad bounce and a terrible bunker shot and a bogey. 😂😂 I played the Par 5s like a total knob. Missed 3 5-footers elsewhere. Bad bounces and math just off for a few shots won't see me win. I gave it a run. Played well and I'll take it. Well played and good luck!

Peter Kessler would love this course. It takes the perfect club to hit the correct approach shot.
-42 after putting 3 balls OB. Made bogey on the re-tee. What’s that 6 shots given to the field then?
Had baby girl crying and screaming for my first three rounds. I felt like Patrick Reed in Australia.
Edit - I’m sure we all have a lot to gripe about our rounds. My biggest wtf moment was probably h17. I didn’t get how I could be pin high then come back 70 feet and have a max putt to hopefully get within 10 for par.

Take a bow Chris Hrabec - each week, taking disregard for his competitors to a new level.
SEVENTH time this season alone 😂
